Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 2 (Week2) | Introduce Your Family by @sammylove

Good Day Great Steemians, I so much appreciate the admins of @steemalive community for this awesome challenge that allows us to showcase our family members.

Family is a very important aspect of human life. The first training of everyone on earth started in the family. Every child is taught morals and way of living by the family members.

In this post, I’ll be introducing my direct family members to you. They are my father, mother, brother and Sisters. I’m still a young guy.

My Dad and Mum

I was born into the family of Mr Wilfred Onuh who is blessed with 4 children(2 males & 2 females). I am the third child of my parents.

My parents Mr&Mrs Wilfred Onuh are currently based in the great city of Aba, Abia State, Nigeria.

They are traders that deal in clothing materials, like poly, chiffon and others.

My Father

The quality I love most about my father is his humility and mildness. As children, we knew of many homes where the children are always shocked when they hear of their fathers return.

The reverse is the case in my family. Due to my fathers mild attitude in dealing with his children, we so much love having him around and that greatly contributed to our growth.

Additionally, My father is a very Hardworking and generous man. He worked hard to provide for the entire family even when things may seem difficult. He never hesitates to extend his helping hand to those in need despite how little the help may be. I have seen him do that several times and I am trying to imitate that wonderful quality.

He is also decent and principled. That is why some of his old youthful friends call him “Decency” down till this day. He has his standards of right and wrong which we the children never overstepped. This made his children to grow up with good love for morality and decent living.

My Mother

On the other hand, My mother is the real definition of a submissive wife and caring mother.

Through difficult times, she has stuck with her beloved husband to make sure the family is growing. I love that submissive spirit so much, because it is the main reason why the family and home remained very peaceful.

Her industriousness is another amazing quality that I cherish so much. She hustles to put food on the table even when my father is unable to.

I remember in the year 2014 when my Dad broke his leg on an accident.
He was at home for more then 6 months, during this period, she provided and catered for the family till my father got well. She is a great hustler and has passed that same spirit to all her children.

My Brother

My elder brother, Mr Wilfred Michael is the first son of the family. He is my fathers replica physically and in character. He is an amazing hustler. He is content writer currently based in Lagos state.

I so much love his hardworking spirit and transparent lifestyle. He left our family house to hustle just 4 years ago and today, he is greatly contributing to the family financially. I see him as my role model.

He is very honest in all his dealings with people which a priceless virtue that he derived from my father. This has made him very reliable and trusted by many. He is my great advisor.

My Younger Sister

My younger sister, Miss Wilfred Esther is still a student in SS2. She is a very intelligent girl and one of the most brilliant students currently in her school.

She is very outspoken and that is one quality I love about her. At times, she’s even the one that’ll speak on my behalf in some matters because I’m not too good with talking.

She is generally good with house chores, she can cook and care for the family. My mother is currently out of town for more than one month now. My younger sister is the one caring for the home. This is one quality that makes her outstanding.

My Elder Sister

My elder sister, Mrs Precious Micah Enyinnaya is happily married with 2 children. The family is currently based in Aba. She is a good fashion designer who finds joy in the works of her hand. She just gave birth to her second child a few weeks ago.

My elder sister is like a second mother to me. She’s very caring and loving. She is also a disciplinarian. The way she disciplined me during childhood is one of the reasons I am who I am today. She is 10 years older than I am.

She is content and satisfied with whatever she has and that is one quality I’m trying to learn from her. She is also the best cook in the world if I’m to say.

Special Help I Have Received

My brother has helped me in very amazing ways. He is the key factor behind my activeness on Steemit and in the technological world. Ever since he left home, he has not forgotten me, he always comes to my aid whenever I have problems.

He even speaks to my parents on my behalf based on some matters. When he recognized that I love digital technology, he helped me to connect with other people in the field and I learnt a lot of things from these people.

I will not forget in the year 2021 when my phone and laptop were stolen on the same day. He sent me a new phone the following day and helped me to replace my laptop within 2 months.

Currently, He has taken me into his personal apartment and is caring for me as I acquire the needed knowledge to become a Programmer.

Funniest Member Of My Family

The funniest member of my family is my mother, she learnt this from her father who is always fun to be with. She is always funny in order to keep the family up and doing.

You hardly see her sad or unhappy and she wants everyone around her to always be happy. Her being funny has really helped the family to remain united and alive during difficult or sad times.

Additional Information

My parents are both from the same village, Ngodo Isouchi in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State Nigeria. They have been happily married for 30 years now.
My elder sister too is married for 4 years now.

From the time my Father got married down till 2015, he was a carpenter. My mother started the trading business since 2005 then my father joined her with it 2016 and abandoned his work due to the health challenges that may come from carpentry work at old age, since it requires a lot of tedious activities.

My family is a religious family and that is one key factor that helped my parents to raise their children successfully. They always consulted the most high in all their activities and passed on that amazing legacy to their children.

Conclusion

I love my family and I’m working hard to make them proud to have me as their son.

If I am asked to choose another set of family, I will still choose my family.

I also hope to build a family that is as loving and peaceful as mine.
