Social media originated as a way to interact with friends and family but was later adopted by companies that needed to reach out to a huge number of people, Social media has the ability to connect and share information with anyone on Earth within just a short period of time.

There are over 3.8 billion social media users in the world today.
Social media is a rapidly developing field, because new applications are being launched regularly and they join the ranks of already popularly used ones like Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram and so on.

Interest Based Networks: This is used to connect with people that have specifically the same interests with you. Example: Houzz
