Steemalive Moderators Report for the Period 6th June to 12th June 2022

Introduction

Special greetings to you all and welcome to a new week This week is another opportunity to write more and learn more here on Steemit.We all know that Steemit as a platform encourages only quality and plagiarised-free posts.This means that laziness and copy and paste is not allowed.However,there could still be pockets of plagiarism act from authors especially newbies.So as moderators we have to check every post made in the Steemalive community and then check for plagiarism, steemexclusive,club status and use of bid-bot services.

To show that the Steemit team support the work of moderators.They have directed that community moderators should check at club status, steemexclusive,bidbot and plagiarism status of a post and then rate it by a scale of 1 to 10.Such act has helped to put all the authors on their toes and so people barely post plagiarized post.This is a positive wave.

Things that I did

Within the period of last week.I was able to put up a few things in place.This was done to help review and comment on posts made here.They are as follows.

•1)Recruitment and Mentorship

In the spirit of the engagement challenge where users are asked to promote Steemit abd sign up a user.I recruited and guided @solokay to do his Introduction post.👇

•2)Checking Plagiarism:
Plagiarism checking is one of the most important things I check in the community.This involves going through people's post to check if you copied part or the whole work from another source.The pictures used by authors are also checked for plagiarism because one can still use pictures obtained from the internet without referencing the source.In a simple term,I check both word/text and picture plagiarism.

•3)Checking Steemexclusive and Grammar:

Posts which are posted only on Steemit platform are said to be steemexclusive.And that is what is expected of authors.So I check if a post has been posted or has existed in another blogging platform.We only want authors to post only here on Steemit.Grammar is another important thing to check.This involves checking spellings and sentence structure.

•4)Club Status:
There are basically three clubs on Steemit.They are club5050,club75 and club100.Each of the clubs have their requirements.To be in club5050-the user is expected to power up atleast 50% of his liquid rewards and also make sure that his transfer is not more than his power up within a period of one month.

To be in club75- the user is expected to power up atleast 75% of his liquid rewards and also make sure that his transfer would be 1/3 of his power up within a period of two months.Finally to be in club100- the user is expected to power up all his rewards within a period of three months.So I check and Indicate the club status of the user.

•5)Verification of Entries:
I was actively involved in verifying and grading entries made by authors in the Steemit engagement Challenge.This is in line with @steemitblog requirements for moderators of the 7 selected communities in the season 2 of the engagement challenge.The entries are graded on a scale 1 to 10.This week I am have already started grading the entries too.

Observation, Recommendation and Conclusion

Within the course of last week.I observed that the quality of posts have increased.Plagiarism has been reduced to the barest minimum.I didn't see any author who was involved in vote buying and all the posts are steemexclusive.

I will recommend that authors can check their post for plagiarism and correctness of grammar using this tool plagiarism checker and also check their club status using this tool club status checker before posting.Engagement among members is highly recommended.
