Food is essential in life. It provides the body with the necessary nutrients we need in our bodies which include proteins, carbohydrates e.t.c. We must know that our diet plats a significant role in our health in the long run.

Why do you eat

It is important you know the reason you eat. Some eat for to meet their body needs while other live for pleasure. Eat to live and not live to eat. It is very pleasurable to eat, so you can indulge once in awhile. When you over indulge, you are exchanging your health in the future for pleasure now.

We live in an industrialised age, were everything is processed and packaged. Where the natural value of everything is depleting. Avoid processed and canned food. Chemicals where used to preserved them and they lost more than half their nutrients the process
Avoid fried foods; suya, fried yam, barbecue e.t.c. Snacks like burger, pizza. The truth is they taste good and are appetizing and probably have some nutrientional value but the bad outweighs the good.

Vegetables, legumes, grains and so on have nutrients they supply to the body. It is important we find a balance in our diets. Fruits and vegetables are very important. Don't just stick to one, go for variety and quantity, nothing keeps you looking fresh and younger than they do. Avoid overeating not just for people with weight problems but for everyone. Eat right

Thank you for posting in Steemalive community.Food is one of the basic needs of man and so must be taken in the right manner.Synthetic foods arent healthy enough and should be taken once is while.
Like you pointed out,fruits and vegetables are very good for the body.Infact when God created Adam,the main food around him was basically fruits and vegetables.
