Greetings to you all my steemit friends in steemalive community, how're you people doing presently? I want to believe that you guys are kicking fine.

This content is aimed at getting you updated with my diary covering the wedding ceremony i attended on the 4th of Dec 2021. As usual when i woke up at 06:15 am, i said my personal prayers and afterward did some physical exercise in order to keep physically fit throughout the day.

When i was done with that, i freshened up in preparation to attend my niece's wedding at Aguda, Surulere in Lagos State, alongside some of my family members, and of course i had to go and join them at their home very far from where i live so that we could go together.

We all left the house at about 08:30am for the venue of the wedding ceremony in order to beat the heavy, rush- hour traffic on the major roads especially on weekends and thereby catch up with the whole wedding program for the day. The venue of this wedding was an open field located in one Estate at Aguda Surelere, Lagos.

However, despite all our efforts to be there on time, we were seriously stuck in a heavy traffick while using private transportation to the wedding's venue, hence we reached there behind schedule and thus missed out on a segment of that wedding ceremony which was the wedding talk, the part i personally dislike missing out.

In fact, upon reaching the venue which was an open field rented for both the wedding talk and the reception and also noticing that we were very much behind the program as a result of those delays from heavy traffic, i personally became pissed off and worn out. By then the stage was already set for the reception to begin and the invited guests including children, were already seated under different mounted canopies.

When my elder sister whose daughter was getting married that day saw us coming, she hurriedly approached us and led us to the canopy that was preserved for us, as family members. On the table were assorted dishes, bottled water, wine, etc, in fact there was a lot to eat and drink, and so myself, my mother(wearing black gasses), my elder sister whose daughter was getting married and other family members got seated.
Check this out in the following pictures.

After settling on our seats, we started to cool off with some cold bottled water and soft drinks, and in no time the MC directed the DJ to turn on some background music so as to usher in the newlyweds proper on the reception ground.

And as the background music was filtering through, and it was time for the newly-wedded couple to be ushered in, almost everyone on hand rushed to welcome them to the reception spot. I was happy and also excited to witness this memorable occasion, it was fun- filled.
The following pictures show the couple dancing and accompanied by their friends as they were being welcomed to the reception ground.

The reception program was very brief and the MC ensured that it didn't exceed the allotted time and so after the couple were guided to their seats, the Master of ceremony(MC) invited someone to the floor to open the program with prayer.

Thereafter, he(MC) introduced the reception program for the day and how it would run, meanwhile the background music was still on.

And being a lively and humorous person, the MC cracked some jokes which is the normal thing with MCs during social events like this, thereby creating a lively atmosphere, besides, he followed up on the program by running a quiz whereby anyone who answered his questions correctly would be rewarded with a recharge card of 200 naira based on the person's choice of network.

When the time came for the couple to dance, the MC invited them to the dance floor, just check out what is happening there in the following pictures.

Subsequently, the time came for the cutting of cake and the MC also invited the newlyweds to cut the cake, as they can be seen doing so in the picture below as the MC and some photographers taking pictures were around them.

After this item, it was time for food, drinks and refreshments, and the entire guests were seated under different canopies enjoying themselves from the food and drinks that were served on their tables.

Finally, the time came for the general dance! dance! dance! which is the usual thing during wedding ceremonies such as this, check it out.

Conclusively, i enjoyed every bit of the action that day in connection with the wedding in question, in fact, that wedding really made my day and at the end of it all, i was totally relieved of all the stress i underwent when we were attending the wedding as a result of the heavy traffic on the roads.

This is a very interesting and comprehensive wedding report @simeon00. You covered every event starting from your home, your encounter with the traffic holdup on your way to the wedding, etc. Then your photos from the wedding, the foods and drinks on each canopy.
This is from Mr. Joseph Agwu Ogbajie.
