THE GIFT CALLED FAMILY BY @starnation.

Greetings steemians, yet another beautiful day out here. It's cloudy and drizzling right here in the capital city of Nigeria this morning.
Hey steemian, have you ever imagined this. What if humans were all loners, everyone in his/her tent? No association, no partnership!
A mental picture of such scenario of course is crazy right? Definitely, that's why from the onset the creator saw it worthy that man needs companion. Man needs an associate, he knew that no man can be an island, hence he made the provision FAMILY

The simplest definition of the word family is, it is the smallest unit of life. A family conventionally consists of father, mother and perhaps their offspring(s). Extensively the family also consist uncle, aunts, cousins, grandparents, etc.
Having a loving family is one of the greatest gifts of life, a loving family adds essence to life.
How do you feel after staying away from your family perhaps on a business trip or travel and on your way home back to them? That feeling of excitement triggered by the anxiousness to see their faces again is overwhelming. When you finally see them the joy, hugs and kisses, all these are better experienced than said.
Sadly most people do not get to experience the loving family set up because of so many reasons ranging from failed marriages or perhaps they lost their family, my heart goes out to all of them.
Personally, I believe family goes beyond people related to you by blood. It goes as far as total strangers whom life and it's events have brought my way and we tallied in goodwill, people who have so much effected positivity in my life. Am proud to say I have a bunch of these persons and am delighted to show them off here.

Today is INTERNATIONAL FAMILIES DAY as the world celebrates, take out time to reflect on how much your family means to you, reflect on the wonderful moments you have shared over time. You can put a call across to the distant ones, visit the nearby ones. If by chance you fall into the category of those who do not have any family, do well to check in your neighborhood. There must definitely be someone who can stand in as family.
In conclusion, not just today but always celebrate your family. HAPPY INTERNATIONAL FAMILIES DAY to us all.
A FAMILY IS A GEM, WHEN YOU HAVE ONE TREASURE IT.
