The New Year is moving beautifully and hope we all are doing great...
Preparing for the new year in terms of what to serve people and part of my younger sister's resumption was done excitingly.
Morning
We closed from an all night retreat at about 3:49am. I and a neighbor got home around 4:15am, got into the house and I went to boil water to drink then went straight to bed to rest.
Morning devotion for that day was done without me.
I woke up around 9am, greeted everyone and headed to the kitchen to see where I will begin from because I never lack what to do at home.
The soya milk I started making the day before to complete that morning was still waiting for me. I took the bucket outside and began to sieve it then added sugar with flavour then bottled them which my brother took to my mum's shop to refrigerate it.
I ate, took a rest by chatting with family and seeing a movie which I was not really paying full attention to.
Afternoon
By afternoon, I came out from the room and found my sister bringing out the floor for chinchin. She insisted on making it so that she and my brother can have some to take to school. I asked her to begin washing her clothes which she had packed outside already in preparation for her resumption to school. They were to start exams immediately.
I sieved more than 4 majors of flour, added the necessary items for a crunchy and delicious chinchin, mixed and allowed it for sometime before cutting. I began the cutting before my younger brother took over then I went to prepare the fire for the frying.
Evening
The fire was made and I started frying the ones I had cut then continued till I finished frying which was evening already.
I then sent my youngest brother to go to the shop and get the cold soya milk from the refrigerator.
A friend visited at the right time when the soya milk and some chinchin we're ready which I served him. After which I went to boil white rice for dinner.
I saw the friend off came back and took my bath then rested in preparation for the last day of the all night retreat we had that day.
When it was time for the retreat which was by 10pm, we stepped out to return on the 31th in the morning.
This was how 30th December went, preparing soya milk and chinchin to serve visitors, and for those resuming school.
