Introduction

How do you convince potential new users that steemit is worth their time and efforts? How do you touch lives and make them believe in the Steem Project? How do you create the best first impression as you promote Steem to new users? It is by implementing a system that rewards new users small efforts and make them beneficiaries of the Steem platform as fast as possible.

With our few years of experience Promoting Steem and knowledge of best marketing practices in in Nigeria, we discovered that people value a product or service that touched their lives quickly. We discovered that creating physical incentives for initial efforts, go a long way in creating value for that service in the mind of target audience. That is what we wish to achieve through Food4thought, a Steem Promotion project with a touch of charity. Here is how this project is designed.

Food4Thought - What is it?

Food4thought is a Steem Promotion project that will give out small food items to hardworking new users based on their activity in the first week after joining. Through Food4thought, we will promote Steemit to new users, get them to join us and show them how to create original content, engage with other users and publish great posts in their first 7 days of joining. From the 8th day, we will reward outstanding newbies with free food items.

Food4Thought would be our way of extending a warm welcome to this new users and appreciating their initial efforts. We believe that would be a kind way to make a great first impression about Steem on their minds, and kickoff their journey as content writers on Steemit.

We have seen people leave Steemit after their first few days, apparrently because they see no reward for their initial efforts. Food4thought would change that. Through this project, we hope to vastly increase new user retention rate which is generally low across the platform and also boost the number of active posters across communities.

SteemAlive remains 100% a Steem Promotion community. We have launched many successful promotion projects in the past like the Steem Road Show. We strongly believe and remain optimistic that Food4thought would be another powerful tool to help us recruit and retain many new users.

How we will Run the Project

We are kicking off in the next 48 hours. This project will launch in Aba, the birthplace of SteemAlive community. We already did a Radio Presentation yesterday (16/4/2022) to create awareness for Food4Thought. Many listeners called us after the presentation and indicated interest to join the project. So on Tuesday, we will start with presenting the opportunity to those that will attend. Then, we will register them, and mentor them on how to make their first post.

Mentorship and support will continue the next day too until the first 7 days is over. We hope that these new users will learn fast and start publishing on the platform. After 8 days, we will check those that were consistent and reward them with some Food Items. We plan to kick off in other cities such as Uyo after successfully completing the first batch of this project in Aba.

How have we prepared?

We have printed fliers for creating awareness. We also printed and hung a 13ft by 7ft banner in our training Center as can be seen below:

Like you already know, we went to Real 99.1FM in Aba to talk about Food4thought. We already got lots of calls from interested users. We will show you other things we have done to prepare such as branded T-shirts and snacks. We are really eager to see this project succeed, so a lot of planning and background work has been going on for some time now.

How the food Items will be provided?

Steemalive has been a community built on love and volunteering. Our members are the most selfless you can find anywhere. While most of the funds for preparation has been taken from the community account, we hope that our members will support us to buy the food items.

So we will call on willing members to support us in the following ways.

• Donation of cash, Steem, Tron or SBD. Tokens should be sent to @safunds with food4thought as memo. Contact any of the leaders for cash donations.
• We accept donation of food items such as Noodles, milk, Milo, Rice, Spaghetti, Cornflakes, and other packaged food items
• Donate entire earnings of your posts by setting @safunds as beneficiary 100%

Ofcourse, we also have a solid plan B assuming their are no voluntary donations.

Conclusion

Much like many of our other projects, we are really eager to see Food4thought succeed. We may not have all the resources, but we will do the little we can. Our aim is to increase new user retention rate through these acts of kindness. We thank all our community members that always support our projects.
