Introduction

We are really excited to announce to all SteemAlive members and the entire Steemit platform the official launching of our latest project called SteemAlive City Curator. We hope that this project and others will help us build a sustenable community with SP in excess of 1m. The City Curator accounts that have been created under this project will accumulate steem sent weekly by participating members and powered up each weekend. We will make this investment savings for 1 whole year. We hope that each participating city will raise enough SP to support members in their city and SteemAlive as a community. What we want to achieve

We want to achieve at least 3 things through this project as follows:

• Build Community voting power: At the end of the one project, we hope that each city account under this project would have built sufficient voting power to support users in their city.

• Encourage investment in Steem long-term: Because we believe in a future where steem enjoys a healthy existence, we wish to encourage investing in Steem. Because these funds are locked up for at least a year, members would have shown solid believe in the Steem Project.

• Discourage Selling off steem assets: Some new and old members sell off their earned steem as soon as it drops into their wallet. This is bad for the long-term survival of steem.
  

How the project will run

• We have created 9 city curator accounts - it will be 10 in total. Click here to see the accounts linked to each City Coordinator. These accounts would be used to receive and accumulate steem savings sent by members. Each member must plan to send at least 5 steem each week. At the weekend, the city coordinator will power up the total steem sent and make a post about it. This will happen every week for 52 weeks - 1 year.

• The City Curator account will eventually be used to vote participating members in each city when it gets to a certain amount of SP. This will also be done by the city coordinator. If the accounts earn SBD or Tron through the weekly posts, these will also be converted to Steem and powered up.
  

How to Promote the City Curator Project

In addition to classes that we will hold to enlighten members more about the progress made, we will look for ways to reward those that take this project serious. So here are two reward programs that will accompany this project:

1. Weekly Prize for the top 3 Most Powered Cities: At the beginning of the week, we will make a short awards announcement post for the 3 cities that will power up the largest amount of steem. At the end of each week after the coordinators published their reports, we will make a general summary report to show how much steem has been powered up across the cities. Then the top 3 cities that powered up most steem will receive the prizes announced earlier in the week.

2. Monthly Prize for the top 3 most Powered Individuals: We will also announce at the beginning of the month, 3 prizes to give to individuals across the cities that sent the biggest amount of Steem to their city curator accounts.

We hope that these rewards that go along with the city curator project will encourage members to support the project very well.

Note: We encourage all city coordinators to make an introduction post with their curator accounts after now. The posts can include information about the city, its members, their strategies for accumulating more in the account, any city goals (such as accumulating 5000SP in 2 months), etc.

Conclusion

Just like the other of SteemAlive projects, we are really eager to see this project soar and excel. There could be challenges along the way, but we are sure to fight and win as a team. We thank and appreciate our City Coordinators for the support they gave this project. We truly believe in them and truly value everything they do to promote steem in their city.
