We share experiences and learn from others too. Tonight, our talking point is entitled, Disappointments. Yes we all have faced or two in life. So its a nice time to talk about them.
Talking Point - How we do it
Disappointments seem to have become part of life. Every now and then, promises are broken and expectations are not met, leading to sadness and regrets. So tonight, we will like to look at disapointments as a topic for discussion. First, lets see how to join the talking point. The next paragraph will explain that.

I hardly expect anything from anyone, infact I barely receive favor nor gifts from anyone, Even when you make promises to me. Well, disappointment are in different categories, financially I have had my own fair share when I lost #500k to an investment, a Bitcoin investment that was in 2018, I almost ran mad, I couldn't get myself for weeks but after everything, I still moved on, it thought me alot of lessons but that's story for another day, so financially I think that's my greatest disappointment.

My most recent disappointment happened just few minutes ago.
My brother's wife is in school and I am standing in for her in taking care of her home.
Just this evening, my brother returned and couldn't find hot water to bath and he was told I used the last one.
Then he started ranting and I used the water because it was getting cold and it will be a waste considering the time he used to return and the kids said he had already bathed.
I feel so disappointed and pissed off because I felt he is not appreciative enough especially for the fact that I cook different meal every day and I get so tired because he is on a diet.
I am so sad right now.

This topic is nice. I have had some disappointments. The most painful one was under Npower. There was a competition set for volunteers across Nigeria. We continued to compete as a team until the quater final where the last 4 teams will compete for the prizes in Abuja. We were waiting for the invitation only to hear that the Government has created a new ministry and that the President's wife will be in Charge of Npower since it fell under the new ministry. The first thing she did was to cancel all programs, including that contest. That was how me and my guy lost the opportunity to compete for 1.2m then 2018. Actually, we were favorites to win it. My greatest disappointment was 15/November/1997. On this day I am supposed to live Nigeria to Ukraine. I got an admission in one of the Ukrainian University, I will be schooling and be part of a league club, to play a professional club side (football), I couldn't go because of lack of money, my manager, Mr John had done all the necessary papers, my sponsor, Malam Abubakar, an Allahji from Jos which I got connected to through my kid brother Andrew, because of Jos crisis that same year 1997, till today Malam Abubakar was no were to be found, Malam Abubakar disappeared from planet Earth, till today even his corpse is no were to be found. My trip to Ukraine was shattered, I lost hope and I lost confidence. That was the reason why I stopped playing active football again. I don't even want to remember that experienced.

I learned about some big shots Nigeria International Professional Footballers, who faces a lot of Challenges after their carrier, they didn't further their education, no certificate, life was challenging. At some point I had to suspend football and went back to school, I processed my papers using my NCE certificate. After that incident, I used my CNE certificate to look for a job, in 2008 I got a teaching job with Nasarawa State Primary Education Board, I started teaching at primary school, as I was teaching at that level, I was still searching for another job, after a complete one year, January 12th, 2009 I got a job with College of education Akwanga. I later further my studies, I was with non academics before, but today I am a lecturer in the institution. God pitied me, that's what I used to tell people. I am a favoured child.
