For me, I'd love my first child to be a female oh. These make children nowadays get stubborn on time and refuse to help parents due to the mentality of superiority instilled in the current world about male.
On the other hand, a female child can be subjected to homely duties at an early stage. This will also be a relief to the mum whenever she is ready to have more children. The first female child will be available to help.

Male or female, am ok. When properly trained a male child will render same help a female child will render at that early stage. The same thing applies when both are grown up. If a female child well established at an adult stage, she will contribute reasonably in training her younger ones. The key thing is training & helping any available one to become well established.
For the second question, I will like to be the last born with a cooperative older ones. I said cooperative older ones because if the elderly ones are always quarrelling, having dispute & doing things differently, the last born will not really enjoy them

Let me begin by saying this, the first child in every family be it a male or female is saddled with huge responsibility. He or she is looked upon as the rising sun of the family and of course if the mother and the family are not there, he /she assumes the parental position. So as a matter of fact if the first child is a male, he plays a fatherly role in such a given situation and if she is a female she plays a motherly role as well.
Considering the vital, indispensable , irreplaceable role of a male child in the family setting especially when it come to FAMILY CONTINUITY which has always been the bone of contention and the key factore for loggerheads in the family, I would prefer the MALE SEX However it does not in any way negate the fact that the female sexes are of great importance too neither does it in any way demean their contribution in the family. I am the third child in a family of eight siblings. Sometimes there are things that will happen in the famlily I would wish I were the first child even though our first child is a male especially when it comes to decision making and inheritance in the family.. On the other hand when I consider the responsibility that behoves on a "REASONABLE &SENSIBLE* child that is a male it frightens me. Some first male child sacrifice their education, enjoyment and even delay their marriage just for the sake of their younger ones

The idea of feminism and gender equality is gradually getting negative and out of hand in our society. Women are gradually refusing to acknowledge the responsibility and headship given to men. That is why most females feel insulted when people tell them that women can't do all the things a man can do.

Regardless, no child is a waste, I have seen women that have made history and broke world record just like our own Ngozi Okonjo iwuala and Obama's wife. Just like my mum and sister, all woman are very important and relevant.

As a father I prayed that my first child should be a male and the second a male too whereas my wife prayed that the first should be a female and the second a male at the end of the day God gave us the first a male and the second a female. As time went by when we sit down and begin to analyze why God did it that way we arrive at the understanding that. God designed the male to head the family while the female will neck the famlily and the two sexes are indispensable in the family setting. Imagine what will be the fate of the head without the neck or what the neck will look like without a head sitting on it.
