Introduction

Hello beautiful @steemalive and @steemitblog, it's my pleasure to bring to us our Lagos City Steemalive Report so far. It's been an exciting period so far, with some recruitments and mentorship though with few challenges. As our norm had always been, here is my report so far.

Recruitment

As our norm had always been as city Co-ordinators, I had deliberately recruited a couple of newbies within the last few weeks in a bid to discharge my duty. I run daily online and Offline adverts, which had always yielded fruits. I talk about steemit daily on my social media handles and on my offline meetups with people on daily basis. The below fliers are my daily advertisement fliers.

I was able to recruit a total of 10 newbies within few weeks , though not all of them are based in Lagos. @ninagold and @jossynelly are based in Abia State Nigeria, while others are based in Lagos Nigeria. With the number of recruits, it increased my mentorship activity, though i derive joy in doing it. One of my recruits @afunkycares was also able to recruit one person @mrbasis.

They had all done their Achievement 1 task post except @christachi and some of them had started getting involved in other activities on steemit.

Retention

In a bid to retain them, I had added them to @steemalive WhatsApp mentorship group as well as Lagos Steemalive mentorship group for daily updates and mentorship. I had also helped most of them to make their first post, which is their Introduction post and other posts as well, though not everyone learn at the same pace. So currently on the Lagos Steemalive WhatsApp Mentorship group we have about 47 steemians minus the admins, as seen in the below screenshot.

Our Plan

We have a couple of recruitment, awareness and Meetup plans for our City (Lagos), but due to the fact that we are not working independently from @steemalive Community, we were asked to hold on until steemalive finishes a major project on ground. But I am glad to bring to your notice that the project had been executed, though yet to be totally completed (steemalive training center Aba Abia State Nigeria). OUR Plans:

• Running a paid sponsored ad to reach a wider range of audience.

• Radio Station Publication to attract more people in Lagos City.

• Holding seminars and meetups for both old and prospective steemians.

• Renting a Steemit training center.

These and more are our plan for the year and I pray we're able to meet up with them all.
