Introduction
Hello @steemalive and @steemitblog, I am so delighted bringing to you the Lagos City Steemalive for the just concluded week. I am so sorry that it is coming behind scheduled due to some unforeseen circumstances. Meanwhile, walk down gently with me to see how far we had been doing so far.

Last week, we had the highest number of inactive users, of which I am still trying to resolve and make sure that the number gets subsided.
Retention
As regards Retention which is one of the core values of @steemalive Community, i had been doing my possible best to make sure that members gets retained via our various possible means. Our telegram channel had been an active and helpful one in giving helpful steemit updates, to ensure that users remain active.
I had also hosted another contests exclusively for Lagos City Steemians, with 20 Steem total reward prize. This is also to encourage the Lagos steemians and contribute in my own little way in keeping them active. This is the 3rd contest I am hosting exclusively for Lagos City Steemians, below is the screenshot and link to the contest.
Contest post
Recently @steemlaive community initiated the idea of cities contributing weekly 5 steem in a particular account which will be used to support city members that participated in the contribution. This was as a result of the fact that @steemalive is seriously groWing with subscribers from the different Nigerian cities. Unfortunately, @steemalive community account is not bouyant enough to support everyone with votes, that wà the reason behind city curation accounts, so that we can support users with votes from the city level as well. So in line with this, we have created Lagos City account (@cutycueatorlagos), donations to the account has also started and we have done our first power up. The below screenshot is our Power-up post made by me.

We already have 173 Steems that were powered up and 10 extra Steem received recently, as seen from the screenshot below.

Our Plans
Having a monthly meetups.
We are already working on this plan, our June meetup is coming up shortly and our flier will soon be ready.Making a sponsored ad and radio station publication to reach a wider range of audience in our city.
To get a steemit office/training center.
To reach out to students in high institutions in our city.

I love the idea of meet ups every month but I don't seem to understand why there should be a steemit office anywhere. I feel steemit is an online based platform and should remain online. Whoever that believes you and the reality of steemit should join. The office should not be a criteria for anyone to join. Because if the price of steem goes to 0.1 and someone has invested when it was 0.8, what do you expect the person to do if the person is a novice in steemit?
