INTRODUCTION

Hello is a great pleasure for me to paticipate in another steemit engagement challenge contest that hat to do with the promotion of steemit and how it it took us to convince a newbie to come join and participate in the platform.
Steemit has been one of the most enjoyable platform with so many lovely activities and commitment,it give you the priority to gain mentorship in so many ways but to bring in a newbie in to the platform due to their experience in other social media platform, it need ahold lot of sensitisation to convince an individual to join the platform .

• the difference mean that I use in promoting Steem e.g word of mouth, social media

My community is a very local community where people have very little or no knowledge about social media platform, so the only method whom I could used to promote steemit in my local community is word of mouth though some of them love the idea but they don't have the opportunity to afford for mobile phone whom they can used to paticipate in the platform .
###• the Promotional materials that I used (fliers, Branded Tshirts, Banners, etc)
I was not able able to used fliers, branded T-shirt or Banners because in my community ,we have little or no finance to take care of ourselves and also to leave from my community to town just to print fliers and banner are so expensive and a huge project ,so the only Method I could used was word of mouth though it was not convincing to them but I think is the last of knowledge they had about social media. I as a newbie who just enter the steemit platform few months back ,it going to be a huge project for me to promote the platform because I had little or no experience about the platform but as time goes by I can see that I will came up with something that can promote the platform.

• people respond to my promotion efforts?

When I began the promotion efforts, I find it to convince an individual dispite the rate at which I try meanwhile some of them told me how they were not interested in any thing that has to do with social media platform base on their pass experience and encountered they got with other platform but I learned them to know that steemit platform is the only platform that give reward to people out of PoB(proof of Brain) though the are were a little bit convince but they still need a hold lot of sensitisation to be convinced about the platform.

•some challenges that are faced by users from joining?

So many people within my local community that I made face so many challenges in joining the platform but not because they don't love the idea about the platform but because the lack the finance to afford for an Android phone which is already a challenge for the user in joining, most of them told me how they had their occupation to attend to and will not have that patient to be writing article while some said most of them are student and only concerntrate in writing their examination and will not have the time to participate on such a platform.

•how I managed to convince new user to sign up in steemit platform

I started by introducing my self and the platform and also made them know the benefits this platform offer which other platform don't and
I made a newbie but was not able to sign her up because she is a student preparing for her examinationeven though she love the idea and promise to sign up immediately after she finished writing her examination that will be going on for about two weeks and she promised to join imediately after her examination ,she told me her how she has been hearing about the platform and has always wanted to join and now that the opportunity is hear ,she is not going to let that slide.
I also find it difficult to sign up a newbie yesterday do to to the technical fault that the system was undergoing seriously where everything in the system appear to be in this formed.

•Some challenges that I faced during Steem Promotion

During my Steem promotion from the local community which I came from is a huge project for me to sensitised the people about Steem and due to the fact that,they have little or no knowledge about the steemit platform and due to the fact that some of them lack social media knowledge and couple with the fact that they also lack the finance in affording an Android phone also call for concerned.
secondly,I as a Newbies who just joined steemit platform few months ago still need to gain more knowledge about the platform with experience before going out for a proper sensitisation about the steemit platform.

• some solution

Steemit Platform show give the opportunity for each country to goes out region by region so that most people living within the local community has little or no knowledge about the steemit platform will come to know more about the platform and also known why it is important to be part of the members in this platform and also know the reward that this platform can offer making it better than any other platform.
