~Radiation
~Obesity
~Hormonal medications
~Breast enlargement cream
~Alcohol consumption
~Not breastfeeding
~Non cancerous breast disease
~Previous history of cancer
WHAT TO DO:
~Avoid the modifiable Risk Factors~Do breast self examination: Check your breast about a week after your menses, if you feel a thickening or lump in your breast, go to the hospital, get the lump removed and ensure it is tested for cancer.
~If you have an unexplainable nipple discharge, especially from one breast, talk to a doctor about it, don’t excuse it
~If you have a wound that doesn’t heal on your breast, don’t neglect this, get it checked out, those might be warning signs of breast cancer.
~Engage in physical exercises
~Pay attention to good nutrition
~ Breastfeed adequately except for medical reasons
~Don’t use your bra as a pouch, don’t put your phone and money in your bra
If you notice something, say something!
Early dictation could save one from early grave!
