INTRODUCTION
Solidarity Greetings Great Steemians.
My name is Monday Ochedi @thebeloved001.
So many things has occured in this past few days and I'll be talking about one of them which is my experience at Benue Links Park upon my resumption back to school here at Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State.
PROLOGUE
School had officially resumed from the annual recession break on the 3rd of January but shouldn't be on the list of those resuming that day (lol)...
There is this trending saying that
Na School Resume no be Students...
I guess I was in this category, obviously.
I stayed one more week in the house to therefore resume on the 10th.
Now, Exams was to start on the 10th of January and according to the calendar I was to begin on the 11th, by all means I shouldn't be in Makurdi, Benue State which is Home longer than I have stayed
AT THE PARK
I set my alarm to wake up by 4:15am so I can prepare on time, leave the house and be at the park on time so as to avoid the park telling me that "bus is finished, come back tomorrow".
By 6:30am I was at the park and went straight to queue up at the booking lounge where they sold ticket for Minna.
The line was so long at morning and when I was able to get my ticket I was given number 46.
My roommate (who was my secondary school mate) and some of my secondary school mates who had come to the park earlier were able to get ticket number 19,20 and 21.
By all implication they were to be in second bus while I was to be in fourth bus. We all waited for the bus to come and load.
The first bus did load and left around 8am, the second bus did load and left around 9:30am (my roommate and others left this time), third bus did load and left around 11am and the fourth bus if which I was to be inn did a delay In coming to load and I was there in the Park waiting till past 1pm.
It's a stressful journey from Makurdi, Benue State to Minna, Niger State, we are looking at an average of 8hours. So before leaving the park alone we were all tired.
I couldn't leave to come back the next day because I had exams the next day and by 8am, so my going needed to be that day unfailingly.
Finally, our bus came and we did load and left past 1pm. We thank God we didn't encounter any vehicle breakdown through out our movement unlike the second bus if which my roommate was inn that encountered up to 5 repairs through the journey.
Our delay was mainly at Abuja and it was hold up because it was night already and those who went to work was on the road back to their house, the hold up started from Mararaba, Nassarawa State though.
CONCLUSION
We arrived to NSTA Park which was our official landing park at about past 10pm. I had to wait for about 30-40mins for my roommate/bus 2 that kicked off about 4hours before us.
They came and looked for Keke to take us from town to Gidan Kwano where we school which is about 45mins. We arrived home past 12am and it was a stressful one as we did keep our load in the house and each dashed out to where he could spend the night as the house needed cleaning.
Back to school to writing exams...
Thanks
