PersonalThoughts
Greed is like a cloth
We wear every morning when they are going out.
Our Concience is no more
Everyone a harden heart
Nobody wants to hear a word of reasoning
Everyone needs a shortcut
How do we get out of this mess?
How do we fight for freedom?
Pains everywhere
Anger everywhere
Only one question
DO WE HAVE HOPE?
Do we have hope in our Nigerian Institutions. Most of our institutions have dilapidated in every sense to a state of no return. You graduate from secondary school happy that at last you can or will get admission into the University, happy that you will included into the big girls/big boys club, you have hope that you will graduate with flying colours. You have already made plans how to paint the school with different colours but alas,it burst when realize that it is not all it was hyped up to be. You realise that institution is a different world, it is a survival of the fittest. You work to escape from all forms of trouble in the department. You hustle through out school and come out to look for job only for them to ask for four to five years of experience. How would you get experience when they would not give you job in first place.
From the classroom to the offices everyone is fighting. Fighting for their assumed right.
We are the architect of our trouble, we complain that our leaders are corrupt but within our own corner how pure are we?
Everyone from the top to bottom is corrupt, there is no office you enter without being expected to drop small amount for the worker, if you don't nobody will attend to you. Everyone wants to go through shortcut.
"Is it not the work they were employed for?" I ask
"It is a Normal thing, if you don't want to do leave the office" They answer. They assume that it is their right to get the money and nothing can be done about it.
Do we have hope that Nigeria can be better again?
I AM JUST A CONCERNED STUDENT
