So when I woke up today on Christmas morning and checked steem, all I found was a lump of coal. Yep a 2 cent dip in price. Now it isn't the end of the world but $.12 is kind of a bummer.
Last week I reached a total of 7000 steem in my possession. Some in this account, some on steem-engine and the rest on an exchange. And that means that when the price of steem moves 1 penny in either direction the value of my account changes by $70 . So today I'm down and even $140 and that feels like a lump of Christmas coal.
But it is also an opportunity to accumulate more steem. I'm in it for the long haul so I'm not too worried.

You have the right attitude in terms of long term thinking. Will Steem recover? Maybe. I think that’s at least 5 years away at this stage, but to me I am looking at building systems that bring in residual income and I am going to really put my head down in the new year and try to generate as much Steem as I possibly can. I am still considered relatively small on this platform, but I hope that I can change that in 2020 with some more focus.
I’d like to have some overseas adventures and I want to be able to earn them via Steem.
