A few months ago I downloaded the Brave Browser simply because I needed a faster browse than chrome and one that also cuts out ads. I had no idea that you earned crypto for using it.
Brave allows you to earn its native BAT token by watching 5 pop up ads per hour. It not a bother because they only pop up in the lower right corner of the screen and you can ignore them or set their frequency.
The BAT tokens add up fast and since are traded on coinbase they are mainstream and usable. I wish we could steem on coinbase! So I've earned about a $100 in BAT and traded them today for Bitcoin on Coinbase.
But that got me to thinking. I barely remember to log in. I keep using chrome. Mainly because most of my passwords are stored there and my google docs are in constant use. I have been too lazy to set up my browser properly. I haven't even logged into steem on it lol.
But ignoring Brave is stupid. I'm online all day for work and should be earning the whole time. I figure I've left plenty of BAT on the table and would have loved to been dumping that into BTC every month.
So if you are not using Brave you really have no excuse. I'm kicking myself for being lazy about. It's time to get those free tokens!

I know exactly what you mean @cflclosers! I got brave a couple years ago (before BAT, I think), used it for a while then kind of forgot about it. I have logged back in now and again but I just am not trained to use it exclusively. How do you earn BAT by using the browser? That is something I have not looked into.

In your settings you opt into seeing some ads. You get the BAT from the ads put into your wallet once a month. Pretty easy crypto!

Thanks for the nudge. I have set a goal to move ALL my passwords from chrome this weekend and use this browser exclusively.

its a decent browser, its just trying to move all your saved passwords into it from safari to brave is not possible. it lets it down otherwise id fully convert.
