Hello SteemCity players, here are some important updates that you should know that we have implemented.

Map/Dashboard button on Web Page

Now players can see more details and stats on cards, with ability to filter through cards. Double click the Map/Dashboard button to switch between the menues.

New options on Market Page

History where you can track all the sales of your cards on the market
Trade SIM and Trade BEER button that will direct you to steem-engine sim/beer market

DPoS Game-Governance system

In preparation for game governance SteemCITY we created SIM POWER. SIM power will give you voting power in game governance. You can see your Voting power on your City’s Map/Dashboard page.

What is SIM POWER?

It is pseudo-staking solution. Every 24h at reward distribution snapshot of SIM balances is taken, and 30 days average from your SIM Balance = your SIM power.

In summary:
sum of last 30 snapshots / 30 = sim power

Sim Power represent your voting power in incoming election for game president. President will be elected for 2 weeks, and cannot be elected twice in row.

Density Effect

New factor that will reduce popularity on big cities. I was planning on that from the beginning, just didn't expect such big players :). How it's working:

Every 2000 population will decrease popularity by 100

It can also cause small daily fluctuations in popularity & population when player cross 2000 population multiplier. Will be harder for big cities to optimize, but that's how it becomes fun :) nothing will change in ranking, only 20 players will be affected.

Future Updates

In next posts i will write more about role of president in game. And possible decisions president can make to influence game ecosystem. Also about incoming technologies, new assets, and events. Am planning to release all of that at once in big update. But will present everything before, so players will have time to prepare strategy :)

Reminds me of Sim Tower. One of my first steem posts was about SIm CIty and my desire to create crypto sim city using steem and back in 2017 it was such a far fetched idea requiring so much time and effort and money and people and skills, and now, we are so much closer to actual games that use the blockchain in a very substantial way building on actual blockchain systems on the chain with NFTs and reward pools.

We need better distribution of the #STEEM reward pool.
It is very unfair to give it to the top 100 only .
They can run away, far far more into the tops, this way !
We need an option to mutate the homeless into citizens .

am planning on slowly increasing range of reward pool. But you need to remember about 2 things:

it's created that way to make players reinvest token( which actually is worth more than reward pool), and keep value of token relatively high
multi accounts taking all the places from 100-200

When you are creator of game first thing you realizing is that players ideas most often are about shortening life time of the game :) I am trying to do everything to keep that game playable for years not just quick season, 3 months reward pool worth nothing and token worth nothing. And it will be hard especially from token perspective.

If you check how much you can make on token you will realize it is more than from reward pool :)

I'm in the top 100 ATM, so I'm not complaining too loudly... but yeah, it's gonna make it harder for new and smaller users to stay in the game if the top 100 are growing exponentially... #TheRichGetRicher
... having said that, I don't have a solution though, simply making it "Top 500" sounds boring/unimaginative ;-)

We need an option to mutate the homeless into citizens .

Cool idea!
When tech cards come in, maybe "education" can have a random% to convert them and/or burn X SIM to convert homeless into a worker & immigrant into either 2 workers or 1 hard worker etc. etc.

Still early days though... I'm sure @gerber has a million ideas still on the drawing board.

More police station, less immigrants and homeless

Push on president to fund police
( for now am the ruler and will refill police funds for next round, at the moment police have 30% funds and every Police Station decrease crime by 0.6%, after refill to 100% it will be 2% per Police Station, (every 10% funds = 0.2%))

I am testing one of the laws for government, seems working, crime ratio goes up when police is not funded, people are angry and will push on president to keep police funded :) ...

There will be also few technology cards that will influence crime rate or Police Station effect :) everything is drafted, ready, now being coded for big update :)
