Why I think Steem has a bright future

“My futures so bright, I gotta wear shades”

A popular song from my youth contained this famous line. It’s a metaphor for sure; comparing good future prospects to a bright sun. Those with the best future prospects were advised to wear shades, a slang term for sunglasses.

I have high hopes and remain bullish on Steem. Which is why I am invested in Steem. Which is why I stay active here both on the main chain and the side chains Steemleo, Palnet and Neoxian to name a few. And now we have communities.

Everything I have read suggests that the best way to evaluate the value of a project and assess its chances of long term success involve 1. Community participation and involvement, 2. utility, in the firm of current or potential use cases, 3. high levels of developer activity, 4. technological superiority over other projects and 5. Top 100 Coin Market Cap ranking. Remember there are over 2000 cryptocurrency coin projects in various states of existence.

I think that the Steem blockchain possess all those traits:

1. High community involvement, the community here is loud, vocal and involved.

2. High utility with over 100 actively used applications, plus multiple Steem based Apps being recognized as the most highly utilized in there niche by the “State if the DApps” website.

3. All those applications didn’t build themselves, so there is high developer activity.

4. And last time I checked we were #70 on Coin Market Cap, so definitely in the top 100 by market cap.

5. Lastly I am also interpreting what I read as Steem possessing technological superiority in its software; graphene based DPOS, which underlies EOS, fast transactions and large scaleability.

I think Steem fits the description of a successful cryptocurrency project. A high value company, with a low price and good growth prospects. And now we have had someone invest millions of dollars in our chain who specializes in social media marketing and not only raising awareness, but keeping that awareness high with constant announcements of good things.

I have high hopes for the future of my investment in Steem. I think the future is so bright I have to wear shades. 😎
