I know, I know, the NHL playoffs don't start for another 7 weeks but I want to get out in front of it so we can have a nice big prize pool.

For the last two years I have held an NHL Playoff, "last one standing" type of contest where over 10 ounces of silver have been won by a few lucky players.

Last year I was not able to find 16 players in time so we started in the second round with eight players:

These were last years players with @fat-elvis winning 2nd place and @balticbadger taking 1st!!

I will be holding the contest again this year and since the NHL playoffs start in under two months I am announcing the contest now and will post about it on the regular until playoff time.

There will be 16 spots and the entry cost is one ounce of silver. That's it 1oz and you are in. Here is a quick explanation of how it would work once the 16 NHL playoff teams have been set.

• Put up an ounce of silver
• Everyone will get assigned 1 team at random

• Prizes will be distributed as follows

• 4th place - 1oz

• 3rd place - 3oz

• 2nd place - 5oz

• 1st place - 7oz

This is just the first post to start your gears turning but if you know you want in all you have to do is let me know you are in and post a picture of the 1oz of silver you are putting up in the comments here (or make a whole post about it and link it here).
There is plenty of time to go grab an ounce of silver if you just want to play but don't stack silver. It boils down to betting about $20 (1oz) for a chance at $140 (7oz).
So don't be like these schmucks,
