I started playing STEEM City about 3 weeks ago and slowly invest 40 STEEM into the game. At the very beginning I had a massive instant return on my investment. The liquidity was low and I didn't sell and decided to take a while and earn some passive income. Let's see how the 10 cards I bought from the game is valued today.
(X3) Luxury Home - 2.9 STEEM
(X3)Basic Home - 2 STEEM
(X2)Apartment - 11.2 STEEM
Cinema - 7.9 STEEM
Weed Dispensary - 6.5 STEEM
Total Value = 36.8 STEEM
Time For Passive Income
There is a 2% chance for me to get new citizens every 2 hours. So far I see one Immigrates card worth 0.333 STEEM. I have additionally made 788 SIM Tokens which is worth 3.94 STEEM (or slightly less on the market) I currently have a constant stream of 44 SIM/day generating which can be valued at 0.22 STEEM. Over the course of 365 days, this can generate 80.3 STEEM which is more than twice my initial 40 STEEM investment.
In case you manage to get into the Top 100 you can be earning STEEM rewards as well. At the time of writing, #100 receives 4.305 STEEM weekly. It can be somewhat challenging to maintain a Top 100 position. On the bright side I can see that the prize pool has gone up by roughly 50% since my early days. More people have joined the game.
I'm Happy To Sell All of My STEEM City Assets at Once
Compared to what you can make on stocks or funds, I have done exceptionally well. If we consider SIM Tokens to be a form of dividends, then I'm getting almost 200% dividend. I think there are even better investments in crypto. Therefore I'm very much open to the idea of selling my STEEM City Assets at a profit.
It's A Sensitive Ecosystem
The returns I'm getting are a product of several factors working together. STEEM City income generation relies on the emergence of multiple card attributes. I can't sell half of it and maintain half of the passive income I'm generating. On the bright side, if you purchase these and add them to your own collection, your returns can get even better.
I'm willing to trade other game assets such as @nextcolony planets or @steemmonsters cards or DEC. You can contact me on STEEM, HIVE and Discord.
