Tell your story#35(The Short Marriage).

Everyday is usually a day to tell a story because different things happen everyday and it’s always a story and that’s why a story can be formulated with what has happened in a day.

My Story

Mr Seun is a teacher who has worked all his life. He rarely has the time to have fun with friends nor take a day’s break for fun or to meet other people. In a nutshell, we can say that Mr Seun is a workaholic. The good thing about Mr Segun is that he is good at what he does and every year at work, he gets awarded for one good thing or the other.

Time which waits for no one kept on ticking from the babyhood of Mr Seun till he clocked thirty seven years of age. Now, Mr Seun wants to get married and move on to the next phase of life.
Everyday, Mr Seun texts different ladies, request for dates, send them money all for one of them to be his wife because he can’t marry all of them.

Unfortunately for him, some of them scammed him. Their intentions are to take his money which they did. Eventually, he got married to one of those ladies just because he was in a haste and didn’t take his time to sought for the right lady.
After three months that this lady has acquired so many things from him, she filed for a divorce and also got part of his properties.

Mr Seun regretted his life and made a vow to plan things well before going into it especially when it is a lifetime deal.

What have I learned from it?

Age is just a number even though I know you may be growing old. The fact that you feel like you are old or due for marriage doesn’t mean that you should rush into marriage.

Marriage is not something that you will go into and opt out after two months or thereabouts so it is better to make your findings and check if truly you are Witt the person you can spend the rest of your life with.

Also, let’s not be like Mr Seun. It’s very good to work hard but we should never forget that having fun is very important and an important aspect of our lives so we should not downgrade that.
I used to be like that but I’m becoming a better person and I’m grateful for that.
