Thanks to @alexanderpeace for bringing this updates here. For me, I would prefer Comments.

  • Intimacy is created through this system. Comments is a system of socialization. We begin to know ourselves more, learn and interact with others as it is practiced in some social media handles.

  • This systems makes our effort to be visible. When our CSI grows, it affects the rate at which users supports and promotes our work. But when our CSI is low, it's makes our efforts to be invisible.

  • Comments encourages the weak ones to do better.
Infact in the absence of comments, errors cannot be corrected.

I invite @bossj23, @patjewell and @goodybest to participate in this contest.

I totally agree with the fact hat comment encourages the weak ones to grow as there’s no way to put out the correction unless someone goes under the posts and writes something. But some persons do not even bother to reply your corrections if you dare to. Some persons though…

I do not really understand the relationship between CSI and visibility that you were trying to explain. I know voting CSI points to how you support other users meaning if it’s high, you are supporting others through upvoting their posts, so can you expand on what you mean by that?

Then what would you do if you get all the comments but no support?

No organization without a socialization aspect of life. If the organization must grow, then the leaders must be ready to listen to other experienced and professionals. In this context, what I mean is that: CSI in this context is like the organization. For it to be developed, this aspect of life socialization must be imposed. If everybody chose to just like post in Facebook, nobody will learn from his or mistakes. Nobody will wake from his/her slumber. But socialization makes it possible through the comment section. Users can interact, share ideas and build trust.

This is similar to steemit. If socialization is devalued, and upvotes is embraced, there'll be no improvement. To me, steemit is not just a burden for financial uplifts, it's a bridge for learning. So, we learn by the corrections we encountered on the system. As we socialize more and more, it begins to attract quality upvotes, booming supports.

I don't the second question will be possible. Value gives money. When you socialize with others, trust is built and quality supports is also given

You have wisely said. That’s what I wanted to hear. Value will always be rewarded. Thanks for dropping by.

Thankyou Ma

For me,I think comments should be the main thing, though upvotes are good but comments is more better for a newbie. Am saying this because, that's the only way for you to get noticed by other steemians worldwide.

Imagine having a comment under your post from one of the big whales in the platform, other steemians would flood your blog to really get to know you. I try as much as possible to comment on posts despite most times the people you comment on their post be don't reply. But still I prefer comments.

I am inviting @saintkelvin17, @okere-blessing and @silvertop to ta part.

Comment better for a newbie you said…ok for directions and corrections and that’s ok too but am really baffled by some persons who don’t even bother to check the comments of people under their posts when they actually get the notification. For example, during the steemit nomination award, I nominated a user and tagged obviously but that user till now never made any commment on the post. Severally I’ve commented under peoples posts and no reply and to even make matter worst , I don’t know if it is that they don’t care about checking who tagged them or who commented under their posts or what the comment or tag is all about but to me it’s routish and not a good thing for a social media platform. Good commenting is part of growth and should not be neglected.

And what would you do if you get mostly comments and no support?

You said it all. To me I will say that most of them feel too big to reply and at times I will be thinking of just upvoting. But in,I won't be discouraged from commenting even if o don't get the reply I need.

You reiterated my point but didn’t answer my last question…
What will you do of all you get is comments and no upvotes?

Well to answer the question,I would say that I will feel bad because that's also one of the reasons we joined the platform. But my opinion is that both should be balanced.

Hahaha I can feel your pain of not getting feedback from people you engage in their post, sincerely, commenting meaningfully in someone's post go a long way to bring interaction . Imagine having 01 engaging in my post like you said every other user will want to come in to comment. I prefer comment as well to upvotes.

Thank you for this reply,I was thinking am the only one that loves commenting.

Thank you @alexanderpeace for organizing this wonderful contest! This is my first time writing a comment, and I truly appreciate the opportunity to express my thoughts. You have explained everything so beautifully, making it easier for everyone to connect and engage. This platform is a great way to bring people together, foster growth and build a strong supportive community. I genuinely want to be a part of this journey, contributing and supporting with all my heart. I believe that meaningful interactions like these help to create lasting connections, and I am excited to be a part of it.

I hope you guyz @vishwara @divyanshi & @m-fdo will definitely participate in this contest and make it even more exciting.

Hello house, thanks to @alexanderpeace for this beautiful contest. communication is the strength of every relationship and that's why i prefer comments to upvote.comment encourages and motivates me to do more, the first time my work was commented i felt so happy and i know it's might be same for some else.comment guides us me to know our stand and teaches us the next thing to do. comment creates bond between the community users, there will be no interaction without comment, comment is an eye opener, there might be task you are confused about which comment can tell you what to do.These are my reasons for comment preference over upvote.
I invite @ruthjoe,@ninapenda @jswit to participate in this contest

Well said friend. It’s good to know your stand and I concur to the fact that comment does a lot to user engagement.

What would you do if all you get is comments and no upvotes?

Well said friend. It’s good to know your stand and I concur to the fact that comment does a lot to user engagement.

Thank you so much for reaching out here.

What would you do if all you get is comments and no upvotes?

If I were receiving only comments and not upvotes, I would still take it as a positive sign. Comments indicate engagement and connection, which is the first step in building a strong community. When we engage meaningfully, people start to appreciate our contributions and over time , they may support us with commenting and upvotes. While upvotes are great, true value lies in forming genuine connections and having our content actually read and appreciated.

I prefer Upvotes for the following reason:

  • I don't think anybody will wants to be serious in this units.

Come to think of it, apart from growing my writing ability, what also drive me to become more intense in joining this system is the testimonies I received from other stewards here. There's something that makes facebook, WhatsApp, tiktok, youtube and Instagram to be different from #steemit. They don't pay you when someone like your work. You have to get to a certain heights before your likes, comments and video-watch can be monetized.

But here in #steemit, whether you are new or old. For as long as your work makes sense, they will supports you. I just over-love #steemit.

  • Upvotes also contribute in building your CSI.

I invite @deetalka6, @eglis and @ngoenyi to participate

I love your sincerity about preferring upvotes, am sure many others do too and am also of the opinion that comments are also as important cos the upvotes builds your account while the comments build relationships…they are two sides of a coin.

Yea and Upvotes builds our csi when we are the ones upvoting others…
Thanks for stopping by

You got my point. None of this is less important. Both of them are essential. Like you've said, one builds the account while the other builds relationship. So come to think of it if one is removed, a body without it branches cannot function effectively. Thanks for reviewing my work @alexanderpeace and picking out the most relevant
