Hello my awesome friends and welcome to another round of power up with our juicy tips on life.
Today I drop some flows about life and love. There’s a great scripture I know at the top of my fingers but do you know that I had never really practiced that scriptural injunction until lately.
The popular scripture that says “Love your neighbor as you love your self”.

Yep! Read it again…Love you neighbor as you love yourself. Let’s drift alittle from the first phrase to the second….
“As you love yourself”. Did you know that so many people want to love others or want others to love them when they don’t love themselves.
The question is how do you love others when you don’t love yourself or can can you love others when you don’t love yourself? So many people are not able to love because they don’t even love themselves. Does that make sense?
This may seem like a little irony but did you know that I’ve been a transgressor in this. I love people, I go out of my way to please others, to help them and even make extreme sacrifices for people but when it comes to me, I shrink back.
I didn’t know I was like this until someone around me started pointing it out to me. She kept lamenting that she has watched me do things for people but will never do anything for myself.

It’s like being liberal to others but stingy to yourself. You don’t mind spending money on people and caring for them but when it comes to yourself, you don’t want to spend money or you. It’s like loving others and waiting for them to love you back and not wanting to love yourself even when the others are not reciprocating your love.
That was me all along until I realized that am not loving myself like I should. There are people who over indulge in themselves and those who don’t at all.
Both extremes are wrong. You must create a balance to loving your self. When you love yourself enough and you are confident and feel good about yourself, then you can extend that same love to others out there.
Don’t beat down on yourself, you make mistakes, forgive yourself, and move on. Spend on yourself, take good care of yourself. Don’t wait for others to take care of you. Do it and if eventually someone wants to, it would only be an added advantage.
Love others as you love yourself…read it again…as you love yourself. Do you love yourself?
Unto our power up
I had 64 steem on my wallet and 2,119 Steem power. I proceeded to log into my wallet and powered up the 64 steem.
This brought my steem power to 2,183 steem power. Power up is a great part of our steem journey as it helps us build our influence on the steem community.
