We all have different textures and length of hair. Some love short hair while others desire long hair, some prefer it thick, while some prefer it scanty or not so thick. For me I have the african 4c texture and it's thick, dark and grows somewhat slowly 😅, it shrinks in length when water is poured, so I often get the “did you cut your hair” question on wash days and few days after and it stretches when drawn, it also gets dry quickly especially during some weathers here in Africa like the harmattan period during the month of december and early January.
So today I'm going to be sharing my hair growth stages and the treatment procedures I have been using.
So I did the “big chop” in December, 2022. And for those who do not know, the big chop is literally cutting or barbing all the hair on your head and I did this because I had developed a really bad hair due to excessive relaxers and I wanted to save myself the stress associated with transitioning and just grow a new, fresh and afro hair from the scratch.
I made use of three ingredients for my hair treatment: hibiscus, cloves and rosemary leaves. I boil the hibiscus, cloves and rosemary and put it inside a spray bottle, then, I apply a peppermint oil and cream on my scalp to trigger the hair follicles and cause growth, I use the vaseline as a moisturizer to lock in the moisture gotten from the hair treatment. I also endeavor to wash regularly with a shampoo, store the treatment in the refrigerator and use it all up in three days so it won't spoil.
I often make twists with my hair because it helps me avoid excessive combing and this retains length. I can carry these twists for three weeks or a month at most and I find my hair thicker and longer each time I take the braids down.

So having long and healthy hair is very attainable. Irrespective of what hair type you have, you can always use natural remedies such as hibiscus, cloves and rosemary to make a hair treatment and then you use vaseline and as a moisturizer or you purchase hair conditioners and coconut oil to nourish each strand.
Though my hair appears short, if I stretch it or apply relaxers, the real length will be massive😅 I have come a long way, and I aim to keep nourishing my hair so that each strand becomes healthy, strong and long. This treatment is also beneficial for men, those having receding hairlines or those who are bald. Having healthy hair is paramount. Don't forget to take care of your hair!
@crismenia @steemflower @ulfatrahmah what do you think of my hair treatment contents 😊
