In today's dairy game I would like to write about my mother's birthday. It have been a wonderful and first time celebrating with her. My mother couldn't get a birthday picture when she was small. According to the story she told us. She said her siblings don't live long. They die after 2 years of celebrating their birthday while others die after her mother gives birth to a new baby. This have been the challenge. According to my mother she said she doesn't even know her date of birth because her mother refused to write it down or celebrate her 1 year birthday because unlike her siblings after the celebration they die.
So when she passed that exact age that her siblings usually die, her mother give her birthday declaration and since then she have never celebrated any birthday.

One day I went to where all documents are being kept to go check my WAEC result for my school project, I came across my mom age declaration certificate and I was happy to finally find out my mother's date of birth. So I couldn't tell her that I want to celebrate her birthday and I wanted everything to be by surprise. I travelled back to school, then called her on phone that I want her to come and snap a studio picture, she laughed and asked me why, I said nothing just that I saw other people's mother snapping with them and I want her too to snap with me and she agreed. Meanwhile my younger sister have paid for her birthday cake and my brother paid for a portrait frame.

When I got to the village to deliver the package for her I couldn't meet her at home, she has gone to farm and I waited for her to come back. By 10:30 am she came back and saw and asked if all is well this one I came back so early, I told her yes ohh that I want her to go and bath and change I want to show her something. Before she could come out, I, my sister and my dad started singing happy birthday song to her as she became so emotional and we later danced as children also came to celebrate with her. Once again happy birthday mom, I wish long life in good health because I believe your next year birthday will be much more bigger than this as we will close up those gaps of not celebrating your birthday when you were small.
