• Do you think smoke alarm should be planted in the kitchen or else where? And is it important to have it?

	Smoke Detector

It’s very important to have a smoke detector at the kitchen, especially for who use a gas stove. Gas stoves are commonly used in Bangladesh. This can result in both gas leakage or lack of control over how much oil is being used while cooking, hence some houses in Bangladesh are prone to fire. We often cook quickly and don't realize if the gas is still on, or if smoke is coming out. Smoke detector help us by notifying if there is smoke or fire. If it is installed somehow in the kitchen area, it may also go off because of usual cooking smoke. It’s best to installed in a best place at kitchen for getting warnings without the alarm going off.

• If you have an emergency fire outbreak in the kitchen what do you do?

If a fire breaks out in the kitchen the first thing is to keep calm and make decisions quickly. The majority of kitchen fires are caused in Bangladesh by gas stoves because of gas leaks or because so much oil is used. We should Turn off the gas stove or cut electricity from spreading the fire. If the fire is due to oil we should never use water as it will make the fire worse. Small fires can be extinguished by the baking soda or salt. If the fire is big and getting out of hand, get the heck out of the kitchen and go to a safe place. Call the helpline of fire service (999) for help. It also a good idea have a fire extinguisher in the kitchen to use for small fires.

My kitchen is neat and clean. I like natural things so I have clay pots, hanging spice jars and wooden decorations. This kitchen looks clean. The walls are painted brown. Lighting is very important. If the kitchen is too dark then cooking is hard. I love natural light and I like looking out the window to see the green plants and scenery outside. Cooking is just more relaxing, enjoyable and the view of nature outside calms me down.

• Do you enjoy watching cooking shows? What cooking shows have you watched this season?

I don’t normally watch cooking shows. I enjoy learning new recipes from of YouTube and Facebook. Bangladeshi recipe videos are my favourite to watch. Watching these videos while learning to cook, help me out even more to gain improvement and enjoyment in cooking. It’s fun to try out new recipes and try them at home to give them to my family. I don’t watch cooking shows but I think cooking videos feom YouTube and Facebook are great for learning to cook. We can follow the steps to learn and watch the videos anytime, even replay them if we want.
