MY COOKING TECHNIQUES

Cooking techniques involve the skills that we use in cooking. I am currently satisfied with my cooking techniques but I am eager to explore new skills when it comes to cooking. The joy of discovering fresh flavors and mastering new recipe keeps me pushing my cooking boundaries.

Some areas I would like to explore in cooking involves mastering my presentation styles, refining my baking skills and developing a healthier and nutritious meals options. I am excited to promote my cooking skill and create memorable experiences in my kitchen.

MY WEAK POINT IN COOKING

We we all have our strengths and weaknesses when it comes to cooking. My biggest weakness is not having adequate ingredients to cook a particular meal. I often find myself struggling to execute recipes effectively whenever my ingredients is not sufficient.

To overcome this challenge I create meal plan and grocery list in advance before I make a particular meal. I aim to become a more confident and creative cook capable of making delicious meals for my family.

MY INSPIRATION

Most people will have a popular chef as their inspiration but my mother💖 is my chef that inspires me with her culinary skills. Her passion for cooking, creativity and love for sharing meals with family and friends have made me deeply appreciate the art of cooking.🤗 She has been my greatest motivation and inspiration as far as cooking is concerned.

COOKING COMPETITION

I have had an exciting experience of participating in a cooking competition when I was in the hostel in my university days. The competition drew talented girls from different hostels together to make dishes within a tight time frame.

For the competition, we were total of seven young girls and we were given different ingredients to make different soup. I prepared a melon soap to eat with gari and the judges praised my dish for the unique flavor and presentation.

To my surprise, I secured 2nd place among the top three winners of the competition. Being recognized among other talented girls was an incredible honor to me and I was so grateful to the organizers of the competition. I look forward to future cooking competitions which will serve as a platform for me to showcase my skills.
