Tell your story#34(My Experience with Opay Mobile App)

Greetings to my fellow steemian ladies..

Opay mobile app is one of the online banking app, features with various purposes such as withdrawal, deposit, loans, buying of Airtime, subscription of data, paying of bill etc. it is also a fast and easy online transactions app.

Four months ago, I downloaded this app to use as a means of urgent needs transaction without going to my bank. Have been using it without any difficulty or challenge encounter. Last Tuesday which was 11th February, 2025, I did a transaction to Moniepoint acct, another online banking app, get the cash but the receiver didn't receive her valued.

When she notify me that she has not received alert, I had to open my app, go through my transaction details and show it to her. After two days, I decided to visit opay office at Nsikak Eduok to make a complain. In the customer section, I was told to copy out the transaction ID number to the person to visit Moniepoint office too which I did and they have not resolve it.

After days, I visited opay office again, the receipt was used to lay a complain and I was giving a ticket number to wait for another two working days which I obey and up till now, the money has not be remit. The problem facing now is that I don't even know where the money is since it is out from my acct. The Moniepoint agent said the transaction was not successful in their own app too, now, who will I hold responsible for the money, have visited opay twice and can't go back there due to high fair to and fro which can even be enough to add another money and give to the person.

Am now very scared to use the app and from my observation in those two days I visited opay office, I doubt if the money will be refunded to me because of other customer complain I heard during my stay which is very discouraging. This happening is what I experience before in one of my bank and uptill now have not be able to get my money back. I wonder what is going on in banking system in my country as many customers looses their money into the air.
