Tell your story#18(Traveling into trouble)

Hello my beloved steemains in steem for ladies community, a very heartily greetings to you all I believe you all are doing fine. Today in this contest am going to share with you all my story on the contest topic “Tell Your Story” and special thanks to @ruthjeo for this contest.

I woke up in the morning by 5:40am firstly I said my morning prayers did some house chores after that I brushed then take my bath. Getting ready for work i was done by 7:56am in the morning I couldn’t have anything to eat cause I was getting late to work quickly I made my way to my work place by 8am. I started setting and putting things in order in the shop while I wait for customers to come so theirs this restaurant adjacent to my shop that sells food being so hungry I ordered for our native soup vegetable soup with swallow it was tasty and nice.

When I was done eating I made my payment then walked straight to my shop. As a hairstylist and nail technician work usually doesn’t come that early in the morning only but few times while I sit and my food settling well in my stomach,I decided to organize one of customers wigs until 11:49am a customer came by and wanted to fix her nails she showed me the design we negotiated on price then begin. the start was looking funny but as I finished it was looking amazing and was glad she loved it!.

I had rough look so I told one of my colleagues to help me with a short simple braid because am not really used this pains while making longer hair and the time spent while sitting. Yeah it was very painful but simple and neat as you can see thanked her and made my way back to the shop again. Immediately, I got a call from my mum that one of my aunty has given birth to a bouncing baby girl it was a greater thing of joy after she had waited upon God believing God for another fruit of the womb and God did! Jesus!!!!! Wow!!! I screamed on top of my voice as I attracted peoples’ attention around and shared the good news to them.I was more than happy I closed from work pretty early to go see my aunt that newly gave birth.

Unfortunately it wasn’t in the same state with me so I hurriedly rushed back to the house re-take my bath because the weather was too hot then changed into something nice, picked a few things like my toiletries, cream etc cause I intended to stay up to 2-3days before I’d be back to my base.

Quickly I made my way entered a mini bus that usually carry about eight (8) passengers in the vehicle.I was the fifth person that entered the bus remaining two more people to complete so as to take off. While waiting I sat very close to an old woman, I greeted her as it’s a sign of mutual respect in my country. Another person came making us seven still waiting for one person to complete the bus because it was a quite long drive I picked my phone wear my airpod while playing my music and rejoicing of God’s goodness towards my aunty the old woman stepped on my foot Hmmmmm!! I said in my mind and acted like it was a mistake again she stepped on my foot the second time I quickly looked at her asked her if everything is okay with her she looked at me and said nothing!.

I put back my airpod decided to watch some hilarious videos on TikTok this old woman stepped on my foot the third time! I was so annoyed I asked her “mama what is it”? She looked at me and said my daughter please buy me snacks am hungry. Lol well I overlooked what had happened rushed down and bought two meat pie and one soft drink for her she really thanked me and also bless me. Fortunately we complete 8 passengers and zoomed off.

On our way we’ve gone like almost two hours drive the driver took another road path everybody in the vehicle including me was worried and lamenting while the driver took another road path little did we know that the driver had bad motive. Keep quite!! The driver shouted on us and said he’s taking a short cut. After a little while he packed in a quite bushy area and pointed at three person commanded to come down, they did and follow the man sincerely not knowing that he had casted a spell or something on them before making his way to the bush he told the old woman to keep an eye on the remaining four of us at this moment it feels like a nightmare, my spirit sank and my mind etched with worry.

In fear I asked mama what was going on she said we should all keep quite and don’t say a word! We were all lost, drifted,helpless and clawed with fear. I almost pee on my clothes as we see the bus driver coming out alone without the three person he took to the bush. While panicking he pointed the four of us and also commanded us to come down Am dead!! I said in my mind as I stood goosebumps all over my body he told us to run without looking back! Gosh I don’t know where to run to or go to in the middle of nowhere! I.. I… I… d..on’t… know any..w..he..re ar..ou..nd I stammered with fear, he called me deep his hands in his pocket guess what he brought out four (4) thousand Naira he gave to me and shouted at me run!!! Ahhh I looked round the other three persons which were three guys had already picked race immediately I ran then bursted into nowhere I met a few persons and asked them questions for my way out still shivering like one who’s electrocuted! I managed to take picture of the place for reference purpose and this area was a bit lively.

Thank God I managed to get to my house I cancelled the travel and narrated the ordeal to my family. My dear steemians I am more than a testifier and am happy to be alive to tell this story. Really GOD is merciful!!!

Lessons learned

Compassion: it’s always good to treat others with kindness regardless of the circumstances. imagine i didn’t buy the snack for the old woman despite she stepped on my for complete three time who knows what would had happened.being good really pays.

Trust: Who would have ever thought that mama are one of them! Trust but wisely balancing with openness and discernment. This is why most people find it too difficult nowadays to tust.

Prayers: We should always pray without ceasing because Prayers is the master key too. Thank God I prayed in the morning and also committed my days to God.

Volunteer: it’s nice to dedicate our time helping those in need with out expectations of any reward cause is God that does.
