Tell your story#2 _ My Experience at the Fashion House

in hive-168072 •  3 days ago

Welcome, friends. It is another interesting moment to share with you my story. At some point in our lives, we must have stories to tell, be it that of good or bad. As we continue to interact with one another, our environment, and other inanimate things around, we are bound to tell more about them, learn and unlearn as the case may be.

I could remember also making a post on some sections of my story to be shared now sometime ago. I started training to help skillup myself in a fashion house. There was just this need to do so, and I am grateful that I did learn not only the basis but more than I expected for the period of one year plus I attended.

In the beginning, I enjoyed myself as there were so many amazing things I got to learn in my course of attendance. My eyes opened more as I knew how so many things were done, which I've always anticipated to know before now. It was just an entirely new world and phase of life as I taried with this path.

Oops, sorry, i didn't mention my reception when I got onboarded to join them. After I must have negotiated my payment and the terms and condotion that would best earn me money and also allow me some space to handle household concerns, I got started. But, there were some things that were done as a newcomer even after making your payments. This comes with the presentation of a crate of soft drink and pack of sizable biscuit to officially welcome you by proper intro with the old students.

It is a good idea, but I still don't understand why the use of such items should be used as a welcoming baggage. But, it is what it is. We got the introduction done, and the owner had her speech done where she encouraged everyone to be obidient, humble, and harding working. In fact, she talked about humility and made so much emphasis on it. I quickly had to drop my high fliers and wore the clothings suitable to mingle with everyone.

But, at a time, I started feeling uneasy each time I came into this environment. Before I forget, amongst the students participating in the learning process, we had the children of the fashion house owner. I wouldn't know if they were spies or actually learning. One thing we must avoid in our workplace is gossip and undue interference. This kills the morals of those affected and as well creates unnecessary tension and pressure.

At a time, we found out that these kids who happen to be our boss's children were arrogant to some of us, though not me in particular. I avoid this plague and make sure I didn't collide with them. But this mess in the workplace got to the brim where some of the workers had a serious altercation and face off. It was so intense that it aggravated to malice.

When all these turbulences were ongoing, I've already stayed a year plus and would say I was satisfied with the knowledge gained. When the tuletide season was over, I called off the whole contract bearing in mind the terms and conditions I had with her. Surprisingly, all other 4 persons also dropped attending and got alternatives for themselves.

LESSONS LEARNED

Some of us have always made the mistake of allowing friends and family to interfer with our businesses. We have to learn how best to separate one from each other. We can not mix pleasure and work and still want to optimize performance.

The boss's children so much interfered with the external students despite their younger ages when compared to others, and hence mauled everything to the floor. This is what we get when we allow sentiment to becloud of sense.of reasoning.

She is starting all from scratch to build up her broken business suppprt system. Though this would cost her more pain to do, but I believed she has learned her lessons.
