The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, the Bible says!..

What is wisdom? Well, try not to confuse wisdom with knowledge because they are two different things.

Wisdom is seeing beyond human understanding. Having extra knowledge and being wise in decision-making.
A singer once said, "Wisdom is better than wealth; wisdom is better than family or friends; wisdom is better than properties." Do you agree to this? A man with wisdom is better than a man with riches and no wisdom.

You can have knowledge without wisdom, but you cannot have wisdom without knowledge, because in order to discern the best way to achieve a goal, you have to be able to fuse all factors from various sources of experience.

"Wisdom," in the Bible, "is knowing the greatest goal in any situation and the best way to achieve that goal." Solomon the wisest man had this great wisdom in passing judgment; you know the full story.

My dad will always say, "In all you have achieved in life, have wisdom; it is better than money!" This wisdom stood my dad out among equals, and he was able to settle disputes between couples.

A woman visited our home one faithful day, reporting her husband to my dad. She said her husband has not been the same man she married. She had so many complaints laid down at my dad's feet, but my dad said to her, "I will invite your husband over and talk with him."

The next two days, the woman's husband came to the house, and while he was discussing with my father, he said that his wife suddenly turned into an excessive spender and he had to block all access to her money.

It was now time for my dad to pass his wise judgment after hearing from the man. My father invited both of them together the next day so he could talk to them.

The woman was so sure that my dad would tell the husband to let her have access to her money, but she was disappointed at the final judgment.

My dad told the woman that she went too far by allowing her lust to take over her. She shouldn't have let her quest for money destroy her home. The man, on the other hand, was blamed for not letting the wife have access to money. My dad blamed the both of them for trying to destroy a 14-year-old marriage. He even showed them some portions from the Bible where the husband should love his wife and the wife should be submissive to her husband.

As they were talking, the woman started crying and feeling so bad. She kneeled down and begged the husband to forgive her. The husband held her hands up and made peace with her, and they were fine. It was a very simple and short case that was treated with wisdom.

Everyone does not have wisdom; they feel having intellectual knowledge is all that matters, but that is not what is needed to deal with life. Life is deeper than we thought, but only the wise can scale through.

In our daily journey in life, we need wisdom to make wise decisions. A man without wisdom is just like a walking corpse and can be lured into doing anything out of his own will.
