Tell your story#2(my friend gifted me money)

What happened

What happened was that three weeks back I was so broke that I didn't even have five naira in my bank and cash, this made me look so frustrated and very worried but today, 28th of June 2023, something wonderful and miracle happened to me.

There was a man named Akolo Dominic, who used to be my very good friend and he used to be a staff of the Independent National Electronic Commission (INEC) in Nassarawa Eggon of Nasarawa State. When he was still working with the INEC, he normally came to our shop to make photocopies of paper and other work, some time he normally complained that he didn't have money to pay for his work, so I used to do the work and allowed him to go and after he left, I used to remove my own money to pay for his work because I was working under someone.

For the past three years, I have not set my eyes on him but I only heard that he got a new job with the Revenue Board in Abuja and that was all. So during that time, I tried to call his phone number but of all the time I called his phone number, but he didn't pick up my call and I decided to stop calling him.

Today, 28th of June 2024, I went to Unity Bank with my kid sister to go and lay a complaint to the bank customer care because I saw a message requesting that I should send the last six digit number of my ATM card but I refused to comply with the message and I decided to go to the bank to confirm if the message is coming from the bank. I entered the bank and even laid my complaint to the bank's customer care, I showed them the message and they told me that they were not the ones that sent the message but frauds. So they commended me for my good action of coming to the bank to inquire by myself and they still encouraged me to keep it up.

The next thing I heard was someone behind said "You are a good girl" so immediately I turned my face to see the person that was talking to me and God be the glory, it was my friend, Akolo Dominic, immediately, I stood up and embraced him with so much happiness. So he asked me a lot of questions about myself and how life is treating me we talked extensively.

He requested my phone number and the next I saw was that he gave me 20,000 nairas that I should use for a recharge card, I was very shocked and was not able to say anything and he immediately left.

I stopped there for more than 10 minutes and thanked God for his goodness in my life because I knew that it was God that has seen my condition and decided to send my friend to me.

What I learned from it

I learned that in every situation I am in, God is watching me and once I cry to him, he will always come to rescue me.

I learned that it is good to be, imagine the amount of money my friend gave me today simply because of the good thing I did to him in the past.

What happened to me today is a great testimony of my life and it has also encouraged me the more to be good to others.
