What happened and

A few days ago, I felt I didn't have any work to do at home and I decided to go to my farm to clear it ahead of the next 2025 rainy season.

What happened was that, when I got to the farm, I started the land clearing, and to a point, I saw an unwanted small tree in my farmland that I didn't want its presence in the farmland and I wanted to cut it off so that it will not distract my farm activities during the 2025 farm season.

In the process of cutting the tree, a bee came from nowhere and stung me on my hand immediately after the bee stung me, a small white spot appeared and I felt a very sharp burning pain at the point of contact and within a short period, l begin to experience swelling, redness, itching and a warm sensation around the area of the sting,

The pain was too much for me I didn't continue the land clearing, so I decided to return home and on my way home, I met different individuals who sympathy with me and also told me not to allow water to touch the contact point to avoid further swelling.

When I got home, I didn't bathe because people told me not to allow water to touch the contact point. But at a point, I was no longer comfortable with my stay without a bath and I decided to go to the bathroom and take my bath. Immediately I finished bathing, I saw that the hand was swollen and the pains too increased and that was how I faced the severe pains for more than an hour before the pains minimized but the swelling was still there.

The next day, my hand was still swollen but the pains reduced, the third day, the swelling reduced a bit and the pains reduced. On the fourth day, the swollen and the pain drastically reduced, on the first day, both the pain and the swollen completely disappeared

It was a terrible experience it took me a few days for the the swelling and redness to subside.

What you have learned from it

What I have learned is that bee stings are very painful and next time when get to the the farm, I should be abtoPE Personal Protect equipment, to avoid any sting

I also learned that bee stings are not allied with water and as such, when a bee stings a person, he or she should not apply water immediately.

Thank you all for your usual support, love, and time that you have dedicated to reading my post. I love you all❤

I want to invite @dave-hanny and @vickyson

I have learnt something new too.
Areas of the skin affected by bee stings do not need water.

There should be a way of minimising the swelling once a person gets stung.

It is great that you are well and doing better now.

I'm so sorry about the bee sting and that painful experience, It's good to know you are better.
I have also learnt that bee stings do not need water on it. Good luck

Thank you for participating…..

Looks like it was an eventful day at the cane farm. I feel pain reading your experience with bee stings. It must have been very uncomfortable, especially the swelling and itching. It's nice to have people you meet along the way offering sympathy and helpful advice, but I can imagine it's hard to resist taking a shower.
