The Diary Game #44: Share your day with us!

Hello, Steemians from all over the world. Greetings to you all. I trust you all feel blessed and also had a great day.
Today is Thursday and I'll be sharing with you all about my day.

MORNING
I Woke Up this morning feeling grateful to God for everything he has done for me. So I started my day by praying and committing the day into God’s hands. I also took time to read and study my Bible, thereafter, I stood up to start my activities for the day.

The First thing I did was to sweep the surroundings, and the house too. Then I moved to washing the dishes, fetching water and also heating up the leftover food in the house.

I had an important task to perform today which was to fry or process cassava into garri for consumption. In my country now, Garri is so expensive.
It's saddening that something we produce ourselves and also cultivate is now so exorbitant that many can't afford it.

Initially, garri was regarded as poor man’s food, atlas! Today, the poor can't afford to buy and feed their family. Garri is now regarded as rich man's food.

So it's much better to process it and keep it for your consumption since buying it is very expensive.

I made sure to take my breakfast sobi can have energy to complete the task.

After eating, I started with seiving the garri.
One thing with garri processing is the stress. It's always stressful especially if you are the only one doing it.

AFTERNOON
When I was done with sieving, which is removing the chaff that was not well grounded, so everything can be smooth. I went ahead to set up my fire, then I placed the pot on the fire and got ready to fry.

I didn't tell you, one thing with this frying stage is the heat from the fire. It was just hearing me up but I had to endure.

I can not remember how many times tears dropped from my eyes because of the smoothness from the fire.
There was a point where the fire didn't burn well and so there was a lot of smoke entering my eyes. Chai! My eyes have seen where they are today.

I kept frying by batches by taking some quantity at a time into the point.
Then I will fry it by turning it round and round until the garri becomes very dried.
Once dried, I'll remove it and pour in another batch.
I repeated the process until I was done frying everything.

EVENING

Before I could finish with the frying, it was evening already.
So I took my bath, and rested.
When it was 6 pm, I went to church. It was really an interesting session in church as we learned about how to cultivate the right attitude for our academic success.

When I returned from church I was very hungry, so I fried and egg and added it to bread, then used tea to gulp it down. It was really satisfying.
