Hi ladies, I'm excited to be here once again.
Before I begin, I have some question for us; 😃

• Have you ever been a situation that you needed something especially money? And you had no where or anyone to borrow from?
• Or have you been in a situation you needed something and you just remembered you should have saved it for future use?
• Have you ever regretted you didn't save some money or items for future use or in emergency?
  It depends on your answer at the moment because, it is those answers on your mind that will tell the need for saving or if women should save.
  However, saving money or any item is very necessary not just to women alone but to everyone both young and old.

What is saving?

Saving means preserving something which could be money or other items for future use or for emergency.

Ways/how to save money

1. You can open two separate bank accounts and use one for savings only, that's what I personally practice.
2. Saving in piggy banks
3. In Nigeria, the following ways can be used;
   i. Mark daily cards
   ii. Join weekly/monthly contribution
   iii. Invest in real estate
   iv. Invest in gold etc.

For the purpose of this contest which is about saving money, I'll try as much as possible to attempt the questions as follows;

Why do women save and for whom? For their family or themselves.

Interesting, women save for several reasons;

1. Women save for their personal use; for instance, to buy special gifts for themselves, take care of their personal needs.
2. They save for execution of special budgets in the family. Like currently now I'm saving up for a project next year which I'll write about soon.
3. They save for children's clothing/special events like birthdays
4. They save to buy groceries and prepare food for the family. A personal experience, I didn't have any savings in my account since I stopped working due to pregnancy and other factors. One day when my husband was not at home, our son needed some snacks and I didn't have money to buy for him, I became very sad because of that. Currently, I am working, I save some money for my children's snacks without asking from my husband.

Does every woman save some money by hiding it from her husband?

No, I don't think so. Because every money I make or save my husband is aware of it, he knows my ATM card pins and I know his. We are both very sincere.

What is the purpose of women earning income on Steemit?

• Women should earn money on Steemit to support their families
• They should earn to save up to develop themselves for example, saving up to further their education or start up a private business
• They should earn to diversify their source of income in order to meet up with the financial needs.

In conclusion, I will say that it is very important for women to have a personal saving scheme for the " rainy day". You may not know what that emergency need will be. That little saving of yours can save a life, or build a castle. Women ought to hustle and save more.
