"First Day of My School 🏫"

-🏫 Can you recall your first day of school? What was the most memorable moment?

My first day at school wasn't fun because it was a new school. I started my primary two in a government school. Everything was a bit different from my other school, my former school was a church school so things were done differently. My school was changed because I went to live with my mom's friend.

🏫 How did you feel on your very first day of school? Excited, nervous, or a mix of emotions?

I would say a mix of emotions because once I was still recovering from living at home, I was kind of fund of my parents and it was really hard living them behind and moving on. Although I liked the school but still missed home. So it made it a mix of emotions

🏫 Did you make any new friends on your first day? If so, how did you initiate the friendship?

No, I didn't make any friends that's because I wasn't such a person that makes friends so easily, I was a very quiet person and always minded my business. So even when other children were coming to play with me I would just ignore them to the extent that I even started crying so my class teacher Mrs Ruth was a very nice lady.

She was my best teacher till after my primary school. She saw me crying and called me she asked me the reason why I'm crying when I told her she calmed me down then that was how she became my best teacher she always showed concern whenever a student is feeling down

🏫 How did your parents or guardians help prepare you for your first day of school?

My mom took me to the school premises with some food where she also gave me money to buy something. It was my mother that dress me up and took me to the school where she even had my notebooks for me. Everything including my school uniforms and materials was provided by my mother.

🏫 If you could go back and change one thing about your first day of school, what would it be and why?

I would correct the way I was crying at first when I got to the school. I was crying bitterly that I want to follow my mother and go back home, that I do not want to stay in the school which makes everyone to be laughing at me. I felt so shame of myself then, and some of my friends are now using it to mock me.
