Choices! What will it be? #61

Good morning! Good afternoon! and Good evening!!! to all my fellow ladies in the house. I am happy to also participate in the contest of ma, @patjewell which I got interested in to write about lighter.

The reason why I want to write on the sub-subject topic lighter is because I want to share a story of my brother whom my mom once found lighter inside his school bag. People believe it is only smokers that usually walk with lighters, well even me myself it was how I used to believe about it. Lighter is the easiest means of lighting a fire for cooking or roasting something.

Lighter is more advantageous than the use of a match stick which I came to find out the day I and other students of my school went for an adventure in a forest to study mountain. On our way to the forest, rain fell on us, and we started feeling cool. Since we were all cold and hungry we stopped by a certain place to arrange some firewood so we could light the fire that could warm our body.

Two people including the teacher came with a matches stick, except one student whom everyone knows to be a smoker who came with a lighter. The three people with matches tried to light the fire but they couldn't because the matches had already been wet with water because of the rain that fell on us while going to the mountains.

They all tried to light the firewood, but they couldn't, and every one of us began to worry and started looking for a way out. As we were panicking, the other boy who was a smoker, came and asked what the problem was, which everyone shouted we were cold and unable to light the firewood we had gathered because the matches we all came with were all wet, he smiled, and immediately brought his lighter out and lighted the firewood which we became so happy.

From the little story, I have shared it means lighter is far better than the use of matches, but my brother was almost beaten by my parents because a lighter was found inside his school bag. Now this was how the story was.

Once upon a time, my brother and some of his school friends had prepared to go on an adventure to a certain place where bush meat is always seen, he carried a lighter, should in case they catch bush meat they can set fire and roast the meat. Unfortunately for my brother after returning home, he forgot the lighter inside his school bag for almost a week.

He didn't know that the lighter which he took to the bush, was still inside his bag, until the day that he went to school when his school teacher searched his bag and found the lighter in his school bag. The teacher accused him of smoking and influenced other students to also be smoking which is a lie. From small problems to big problems which got my brother into a serious problem both at school and at home.

My brother would almost have been taken to the police station if not for the intervention of his friend who came and safe him, by explaining everything that had to do with the lighter found in his bag to my mom, who then went to the school authorities and clear his name off.
