Let's do it...Do It Yourself👉 Umbrella Origami

Materials required:

2 A4 sheet
Gum
Scissors
Pencil
Scale

Step1:

1st cut out 2 squares of 15×15cm using scale, pencil and Scissors

Step2 :

Then fold it diagonal into a triangle

Step3:

Then fold the triangle again into a triangle

Step4:

Now open the crease on one side to get a sqare on that side

Step5:

Repeat the same on the other side to form s folded square

Step 6:

Now fold out the crease at the inner edge of the square

Step 7:

Repeat it on all 4 sides

Step 8:

Repeat the same with the next inner edge of the triangles formed

Step 9:

Repeat the same on all 8 sides

Step 10:

Repeat all these procedures again with the second square cut out

Step 11:

Take one of then and make a slanting cut on both of its side with a scissor such that the cut points towards the bottom
side. Make sure both the cuts are equal and have space between them to avoid tear

Step 12:

Now open the foldings and give an inward press along the cuts

Step 13:

Press the inner folding of the umbrella Aswell to secure the foldings

Step 14:

Open the other cut out and apply gum along it's circumference on the inner side
Stick it to the bottom part of the umbrella such that the foldings are one on top of the other

Step 15:

Now take a long strand of paper

Step 16:

Fold it into a cilandrical shape with the help of a pencil and secure it with glue

Step 17:

Cut a small hole at the top and bottom of the umbrella and insert the stick

Step 18:

Now cut 3 thin strands of long paper

Step 19:

Role it along the stick. One ate the top point of the umbrella, one at the bottom point of the umbrella and one at the bottom poit of the stick to secure the umbrella

Step 20:

Thus our open-close umbrella origami is ready

Step 21:

Conseal the top and bottom of the stick with small stipes of paper.

This is how it is looking when closed.
