Tell your story #30 (An unforgettable event & memory that I never want to remember)

in hive-168072 •  16 days ago

This particular event happened on monday been 27/01/25 and the part of imo state in Nigeria where i stay (Orlu) every monday is always sit at home(no movement )so I usually use that particular day as my resting day.

On that day at exactly 11:30am I just finished with the house chores and I was about laying down to take a nap and a call came in, sincerely at first I didn't want to take the call on a second thought I took the call and instead of a hello or hi all I heard was a cry, a cry from the person calling me and in the background, all the person could say is ma please come to A&E (accident and emergency) is a name of a hospital.

Without bathing I just put on my clothes and run off, and it was quite a long distance normally I was meant to enter a byke to the place but because it was no movement here, i had to run from my house to the hospital, I was running and people were asking what was after me.

On getting to the hospital I saw one of my student laying down with red oil poured all over her, i went closer and touched her, she was just laying down, I don't know if i should say lifeless or unconscious and everyone was crying

Just at that moment I remember how I lost my younger brother in the cold hand of death on 8/9/2021 because he was in a fight with a strange woman, tears roll down my chick

Just the moment i remember how I also lost my best friend (mercy) on 9/9/2022 in an accident

Just as I was lost in thought someone called back my attention and I had to ask what happened to her please, and the lady said she took sniper to kill her self, at that point I said ahhh what level of depression can cause one to want to take her own life

All thanks to God there were people around her to break down her door and rush her to hospital when they did, I stayed there till around 4pm and finally she came back to consciousness

My question is, is that situation worth taking my life?

Life is a gift, that can be snatched by death at anytime.

Treasure it when you still have it.

Thank you
