Tell your story #2; a counterfeit monday

It had been a beautiful and successful day at my shop.
As i sat there talking to my mother how i had started from scratch but then slowly by slowly i had seen my business grow with patience and faith that i would make it one day.

Mom; My daughter i am very proud of you and how far you have come,thank you for not giving up.
Me; Mother,you taught me better not to give up,i am your daughter remember.
Mom; Yes,i know and i thank God that my hard work didnt go to waste.
Me; we give all the glory to God for His mercies are new every morning.
Mom;Amen
Me;Bye mom,we talk tomorrow i have to close up and go home early.

I sat there thinking how i was about to hit the i did it button and show all those people who said i couldnt handle that yaay,here i am all smiles and patting myself on the shoulders .

I was about to buy myself that thank you for working hard gift when two men on the motor cycle arrived,they told me how they wanted to punchase 50 bag and 30pairs of shoes,for a moment something told me to tell them that i did not have that in stock but i was already high on happiness of how i had made it.

I gave them the bags they wanted and the shoes.
They first packed everything before they paid me. I received the cash-on-hand,counted it and placed it in my drawer.helped them to move the things to their motor bike.

As i sat on my chair to keep the money safely,something told me to count and check the money again,ALAAASSSS! they were fake counter notes.
I screamed at them but they had already sat on the motorbike the moment they realised that i was seeking for help,they drove off .
I had been looted during the day,my stock worth 4500$ was gone.

I felt weak and discouraged,tears were just running uncontrollably.
I was left with half of the capital and a few items.
My moment to shine had just been robbed from me by thieves yesterday became one of those days that i would never forget even if i wanted to.
The day that life served me set backs but thank God i havent stayed broken and down.each day i am going to use it to recover what i have lost.

I have learnt to be careful and to always check money given to me before handing over to the customer what they have bought.
