Greeting to you all ,my friends and my lovely ones

Am very excited to participate in this wonderful contest organized by @ngoenyi which says "Let's do it...Do It Yourself👉Craft, Creativity, Drawing, origami, DIY, Recycling and more"

Today i wants to shara with you how to cook "plantain porridge"

Plantain porridge is a local dish made from ripe or unripe plantain

It can be made with any ingredients of your choice they include:

Plantain
Oil
Salt
Maggie
Ogiri
Onions
Vegetables etc
You can also include fishes or meat if available

step 1

First off all you start with cuting out the back of the plantain ,you have to cut out the back to make it look more eatable and more attractive, then cuting it into slice pieces .

step 2

Washing it :you have to wash your sliced plantain to aviod sands and dirties or bacteria that it might have contacted during cuting

step 3

Puting it inside the pot for cooking ,placing it on the fire

step 4

Puting small quntity of water as require and then leave it to cook for about 10 minutes

Step 5

When it might havecooked for 10minutes ,you have to add the ingredients, which are : red oil, onions, pepper ,maggie ,salt and leave to cook for about 30 minutes

step 6

Puting your vegetables in oder to add more nutrient and also make it more attractive

step 7

You have to adjust everythings togeher if there is need of doing so and leave it like 5 minutes so that the the nutrients will cooked together

Then lastly bring down the pot and adjust it
Then you delicious plantain porridge is ready to serve
Serve you meal with any drink of your choice

  • Plantain porridge has many nutritional value
    It gives us carbohydrate ,potassium ,minerals and vitamin etc
  • It also help in digestion of food and regulating our blood and also help our body organs like heart function very well

  • It is also contain antioxidant which protect our system from diseases

  • It low in fat ,so therefor it is good for weight management

  • It also contain alot of vitamin c and help give support to our immune system
