introduction

Hello friends, I am excited to come your way again with my craft work or should I say my recycling, today I recycling my old shoes into new Ankara shoes, why I started doing this is because I have save a lot of money in buying new shoes, it has also helped me not waste any of my old belongings again, with the way the economy is, I have learn how to be more economical.

There is the Ankara that I sew newly for an occasion and I thought of a shoes to wear so that it can matches with my outfit, so I asked my seamstress to give me some pieces of the clothes so that I can recycle my old shoes with it.

Since I already have an old shoes, I didn't spend much to rebrand the shoes, I only bought multipurpose gum of 300,00 naira and use.

MATERIALS THAT I USED TO REBRAND MY SHOES ARE

  • Small piece of Ankara
  • Old shoes
  • Multipurpose gum
  • Scissors

THE STEPS I USED IN MAKING A PAIR OF SHOE

Since the soul of my pair of shoe was still fine and new, but the body was bad, I decided to make use of it so that I can start using the shoes again.

From the picture you can see how bad the shoes was.

Since the design of the shoes is some how complicated, I started working on one leg of the shoes so that I won't make mistake.

I pieces of the shoes leather of the shoes, then I mark it on the Ankara before I trim out the ones I want to make use of and I did that so that I will be able to get the exact size and length.

Then I use my glue and glue over the leather and the Ankara then I keep it to dry before I wrap the Ankara to the shoe leather that I pieces.

When I was done with the wrapping, I start fixing them one after the other until I have the exact positions and I use my legs to measure so that it will not be too tight on me.

When I was done with the first leg, I fixed the second leg by using the same method I used with the first leg and it comes out very beautiful.

When I was done with the shoes, I put on the Ankara dress and I put on the shoes to see how it will look like, the combination comes out very beautiful and I was so happy that I was able to come up with this idea.
