Happy International Women’s Day 2024:

Today 08/03/2024 happens to be Women's day, women's day are not just celebrated daily but annually, is a day we don't just celebrate Women's for their achievement but is a call to action for gender equality.
Let's see into history how women's day celebration comes about.

This day was mark to acknowledging the economic, social, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day was also set aside as a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Not only was it meant to celebrate the achievements and progress women have made, but it was also a day set aside to highlights the ongoing struggles for equality and the need for continued advocacy and action worldwide.

A day like this, several events always take place globally to highlight the collective efforts of everyone who cares about human rights in the ongoing struggle for gender parity. As it was stated by one of our leaders Gloria Steinem >“The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to neither a single feminist nor any one organisation but to the shared efforts of all who care about human rights.”

International Women’s Day with the Theme 2024, The United Nations has come into conclusion by chosen the year 2024’s theme as ‘Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress’ with the focus of addressing economic disempowerment, they has already came up with a campaign theme for this year 2024 in which is 'Inspire Inclusion.’

It's high point signify the diversity and empowerment all over the sectors of the society. With this campaign, there is a strong force on recognising the importance of diversity and empowerment in various areas of the society and focusing on the vital role of inclusion in advancing gender equality.

The International Women’s Day was originated in the early 20th century, which came up from the labour movements in North America and Europe. The first National Women’s Day was held at the United States on 28th February, 1909, and it was therefore organized by the Socialist Party of America to pay tribute to the 1908 garment workers’ strike in New York, this was the day where women protested against working conditions.

The year 1910, Clara Zetkin came up International Women’s Day at the International Women’s Conference which was held in Copenhagen. The idea was agreed by every, and its first observance in 1911 in several European countries, with over a million members approved for women’s rights.

The international women's day has grown Over the years to become a global day of recognition and celebration over the years. It was In the year 1975 that the United Nations started celebrating the women and immediately two years after which was in the year 1977 the UN General Assembly invited member states to demonstrate March 8 as the UNITED Day for Women’s Rights and World Peace.

So today I want to use this opportunity to celebrate few women in my life, this women I am going to mention has affect my life in one way or the other.
So Firstly I will love to celebrate myself for being that strong woman in the world, a woman that can never give up no matter the storm, aunique and positive woman. I am an inspiration to so many women. A hard working woman. Congratulations to me.

The second person I will love to congratulate is my beloved daughter, she is small but she understands everything about me, she is just 13 years old. She one person I don't joke with, she is very strong at her age, put her in the kitchen and she will come up with a good meal for the family, I pray God protection to be with you.

• To the woman who stood to support her men whom God has given in their watch.

• To the woman who has make up her mind to see good in her future, even when the society was trying to look down on her because of her failures.

• To the woman who fought with all she got just to regain her lost identity and stolen identity.

• To the woman who met many obstacles, pushed to the wall, with no visible options but decides to jump over the obstacles.

• To you my woman whom the world has already expecting so much from, that they have not given you.

• Thank you for not giving on yourself.🙏
