Hi there steemit i am back after a 3 months hiatus, life was and still busy!

So this piece right here is a lil’ love child of cozy vibes and playful chibi aesthetics. As a psych student who spends waaay too much time doodling in class (oops), this one felt super therapeutic to create. I mean, who wouldn’t love drawing a tiny character in oversized clothes, right? Here’s the tea on how I made it:

Step 1: Sketching the Basics.
I started with a red sketch—because black lines can be too harsh when brainstorming ideas. The key here was blocking out the overall pose and capturing the chill vibe of the character. At this point, it’s all about being loose and carefree. No need for perfect lines yet—just having fun with shapes and energy. Look closely, and you’ll see the big ol' glasses—those were non-negotiable. I wanted the character to feel nerdy-cool, like someone you’d totally hang out with during a rainy afternoon. 🌧️

Step 2: Refining the Lines.
Once I was happy with the sketch, I went in with black lineart. This is where I tried to make the character pop a bit more, focusing on getting those cute chibi proportions right—big head, tiny body, the whole nine yards. I added some details to the hoodie and pants to give it that streetwear vibe, because, duh, who doesn't love stylish hoodies? And can we talk about those chunky sneakers? I swear, drawing shoes that look comfy is almost as satisfying as wearing them. 👟

Step 3: Colors Galore!
Time for colors! I kept the palette fun but grounded—yellow hoodie (because bright hues = instant serotonin), denim jacket for that layered look, and some pink sneakers to match the playful vibe. 🌈 It’s always satisfying to see how a character comes to life with colors. I made sure to keep everything soft and minimal—nothing too fancy, just enough to make it cozy.

Step 4: Finishing Touches.
After slapping on the colors, I felt like it needed a lil' something more. So boom—added a watermark (@misssj) and some cute blue squiggles for flair. It’s like the signature touch that seals the deal! This step always makes me feel like I’ve claimed the piece as mine (and keeps people from stealing, duh). ✨

Drawing stuff like this keeps me sane between psych lectures and exams. It’s my way of staying creative and in touch with my inner child. Ain't nothing better than sitting down, getting lost in a drawing, and vibing with every stroke.
