Step 1: Sketching the Outline

I always start my digital drawings with a rough sketch. For Patjewell's portrait, I started with a simple red sketch to capture the basic shapes and features. This stage is super fun 'cause it's like doodling—carefree and spontaneous! The goal is to get the proportions right and lay down the foundation for the more detailed work later on.

Step 2: Refining the Sketch

Once I’m happy with the rough sketch, I move on to refining it. This means adding more defined lines and details to the drawing. I switch to black lines to make everything clearer. This stage is all about precision and making sure every feature is in the right place. It's where Patjewell's unique characteristics really start to come through.

Step 3: Adding Base Colors

Now comes the fun part—adding color! I usually start with the base colors, filling in Patjewell's hair, skin, and eyes. It's like bringing the drawing to life with each stroke. I choose colors that best represent her, making sure to keep it vibrant and lively. The base colors set the tone for the entire piece and give me a good idea of how the final product will look.

To add depth and dimension, I move on to shading and highlighting. This step is crucial because it gives the drawing a more realistic and 3D look. I carefully add shadows to areas that would naturally be darker and highlights to places that would catch the light. It's all about playing with light and shadow to create a dynamic and interesting portrait of Patjewell.

Step 4: Final Touches and Background

Finally, I add the finishing touches and the background. This includes refining any details that need a bit more attention, adding some texture to the hair and skin, and ensuring everything looks cohesive. For the background, I chose a teal design with Patjewell's name to give it a fun and personalized touch. The final piece should feel complete and visually appealing.
