Thediarygame for 26/06/2024: Edible Termites rain in my neighborhood, workout, football and update on my cassava farm

Each day has its own vibes. It can be a learning day just as it was for me this past Wednesday. Last year, I was gasping for edible termites just because we just moved into our house and by then we hadn't fixed bulbs outside the house.

Each time this edible termites fly at night, I go to my neighbourhood to pick them. They seemed to be few. But the story has just changed.

We fixed our security lights outside the house and in the morning, we see so many edible termites on the ground. This happened just 3 days ago such that I wasn't even able to pick all. They were very much that fell. Each stone you lift has hundreds of them. I was able to pick the quantity that I needed with the help of the kids around, fried them and we all enjoyed them

But it surprised me to wake up again this day of my diary and see even more in number than what we had previous day. It looked like when the Almighty gave the nation of Israel quails outside the camp and asked them to pick just what they can finish for each day. What I used to like so much became so irritating to me. It filled our compound and we had to sweep and pack them out of the compound because they stuck.

Just when I thought I had seen it all, I went to my workout place and saw that all the uniformed men that live inside that playground had pack basins full of termites and guess what? They thought me the best way to remove the feathers.

Previously, what I do is just to pack all inside a frying pan and fry till they all dry and the feathers shrink on thier own. But now, I learned a wonderful lesson.

I was told that to remove the feathers, I just need to wash them and bread them outside. That as soon as the sun dries them, the feathers go off on their own. I watched them wash them and spread to dry. Then they even gave me the ones they had prepared the previous day as you can see below. This method will be more economical unlike how I do it previously where the gas has to dry them for me. It also saves frying time.

Workout/football game

Each Wednesday is also a workout day. Waking up, I prepared the food for the family before living the house. Since we are exercising our upper body this week, I went with my Tommy trimmer for use. Along with the other weights that we had there, we used them for the workout. I gave out instructions and demo of what programs to Carry out while my clients follow suit. I also joined because I had to motivate them by doing it myself

After the workout, we went into football game immediately. Though we were few that day due to the incessant rains the previous day, we still had to play this game. We paired ourselves in 4s and played. I was in the same team with @alli001 and others while @fifapresido formed the other team with others. It was fun. In the end, my team won with 2 unreplied goals.

Visiting my cassava farm

My cassava farm needed weeding and we already contracted the man that will help us weed it. He started already but hadn't completed it. He also noticed that some parts have need for cassava stems to be replanted. They either died off or refused to germinate.

This time around, it was my husband that went to get the stems from a neighbour. On getting ho.e from workout, we had to visit that farm after a little rest.

On getting to the farm, we saw the man weeding the remaining part of it. The cassava is growing already just that they are scanty. We dropped the brunch of stem for him and watched him as he weeded. The farm was truly bushy.

For those cassava to do well, they need air and that is what the early weeding does, enabling the farm to be able to take in air.

We left there in the evening to the house. That was when I washed my workout outfit, took my shower and prepared dinner.

Then, the driver call me to come and pick up my waybill. Yes, I had send for a power bank and memory card for my daughter from Aba, my former city of residence. The driver came in very late but I had to to pick it up. I returned very late, At a time when everyone was asleep already. I had to knock and knock, called and called before the door was opened for me. I went straight to the bed and rested.
