MY WORST/ SADDEST DAY

WHAT MADE ME SAD

Sadness is often what people should not experience. It often drains an individual to the verge that you seem to lose hope and if care is not taken suicide can be committed which is something not appreciated.

Sadness is one strong emotional feeling that makes one lose his or her sanity. I understand it keeps us going but I wish it could be erased. I was sad for a certain period of time and somehow wished death for myself rather than endure the pains of being sick to the point you no longer enjoy anything in life.

HOW DID YOU OVERCOME SADNESS

• WRITING;
I overcame sadness by writing. Writing is one of my biggest therapy and so I sit to calm my nerves by putting down a pen on a beautiful paper that helps me escape from reality into my dream world. One of my sad reality check;

I need courage to face my unknown fears
I need courage to see my remaining years

Tears has lived rent free in my eyes.
My mouth shut from even the womb I was feed from.

Awake during the snoring of the humans happened to be housed with you
But seeking no pleasure for everything is dormant

I plead again for life and plead for hope.

• SURROUND YOURSELF WITH POSITIVE VIBES;
I seeked solidity around happy faces and people who just made me feel ok and relax. I was a sure and reliable therapy.

• PRAY;
Through prayers and personal relationship with God, you will definitely check out of sadness. Take your problems and burdens to the Lord and leave it there. He will surely deliver you.

• LISTEN TO MUSIC/DANCE;

Music hits differently. A total peace to a sad mind. Listen to music that lift you up and dance heartedly.

• TALK TO PEOPLE;
Talk to people during your sad time don't remain mute. Not just talking to random people but someone you can confide in and not afraid of, someone you are safe with.

TO THOSE WHO ARE SAD

If you ever feel sad, remember you are seen, heard and loved. Your sadness is valid and it's ok to feel overwhelmed.
You are stronger, braver and more loved. Don't give up.
I know the darkness and sadness are closing in
You are the light needed desperately in the world. Hold up to the hope that there are better days ahead.

Prolonged sadness can lead to depression and if unchecked can result in mental health issues.
I too experienced sadness a while ago after my social media account was compromised and nothing was done to help me regain it.
Writing makes you overcome sadness...mine is listening to music and speaking to a trusted friend.

We can't stop feelings of sadness because they come from time to time but with patience and the right strategies, we all can overcome being excessively sad🙂
